Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Chains?" I ask, "You were chained up? How much do you remember?" I say.

My eyes glow as I observe the draconian; the darkness serving no barrier to vision.

 

"No more than what I already said."
Her robe is a midnight blue, and you see only a sphere shaped object in her robe's pocket.

 

"Hmm, well, we're going to need to wait until morning. I'm sure you wish to speak with Ihra, so we'll need to wait until she wakes up. Feel free to get rest if you need it, or you could stay up with me and a few others." I say.

Abigail rests her head once more, making sure Ihra is alright.

I let my curiosity get the better of me, "If I may ask, what's that spherical object you hold in your pocket?" I ask, curios.

 

"They didn't take it?!"
She pulls out a clear orb that fits in her palm.
"Thank the gods... I can still do my task."
She looks at you, holding the ball between you.
You both see a vision of you riding Xlentia.

Ragnyon looks shocked.
"Wh... How powerful are you?!"

 

I look of joy appears on my face, "That's awesome. I don't care if that doesn't happen, that's still awesome." I say, in awe of the vision.

I turn to Ragnyon, "I'm a rather powerful Shadow, high up enough to be sentient," I say, "But I'll let you in on a little secret, I'm a little more powerful than the average sentient Shadow; even more so than some of the greater Shadows."

I smile, and the area around me seems to darken significantly; the ground close to me becoming devoid of all light.

I turn back to the draconian, "So, was your task to give me that vision? Am I a prophesied variable?" I ask.

 

"No, I wanted to know if it still worked. I am a prophet, nothing more."

 

"So why did you get chained up by the hive master? Surely a prophet could serve a greater use other than a mindless drone." I say, looking at the orb.

 

"I foresaw his death, the end of his control. He didn't want it to get out- but I spoke of it anyways. My punishment was a blade to the neck. I have no idea how I'm still alive or why..."

 

"Are you feeling alright now? Does anything hurt?" I ask, checking the draconain over, "Oh, and I don't think I caught your name; if you don't mind, may I ask what it is?"

 

"Ragnyon. I'm sore, especially around the wrists and ankles. And neck, of course. I think I'm okay... though again, I don't understand how I'm alive."

 

"Hmm, when Artemis wakes up, I'm sure she could help you allievate that pain," I say, checking Ragnyon's wrists gently, "We opened up a portal to the void to push Xelntia through; maybe something caused you to get sucked into the portal and end up here before you got stabbed."

I look over to Artemis, who remains asleep peacefully on her bed of cotton.

 

There are marks from chains, clearly sore. They look like the chains were on so tight she couldn't move her claw in the slightest.

"I wasn't in the Void then... I was in my residence in The Hive. That's the last place I remember."

 

I seem more empathetic towards Ragnyon upon seeing the marks.

"Well, what's important is you're no longer chained up, nor in danger of being killed. You've fallen under the safety of the right people." I say happily.

 

She seems surprised.
"Really? I... I can't believe it. This is stranger than any prophecy I've given...

Um... though, may I ask who Artemis is?"

 

"She's my girlfriend, a Forest Guardian. Amoung other powers, she has healing abilities," I explain, "She was recently turned into a 'Death Guardian', a sort of tied in guardian role; most of her powers remain unaffected, however. She's only exhibited a desire for blood, which has been satiated for a while. She's in no way hostile."

I point over to where Artemis sleeps on her bed of cotton beside Sgavrinn, "She's currently asleep over there." I say.

 

"Guardian? Death? Too much to take in..."
She falls to her knees.
"Ugh, do you by chance have any food or water? It feels like I haven't eaten in ages..."

 

"I have a variety of food at my disposal, what do you fancy?" I ask, summoning a glass in my hand and walking over to Katie's pool. I scoop up some of the water and walk back to Ragnyon; giving her the water.

 

"Something to get my energy up... I'm feeling worse by the moment..."
She weakly drinks the water, nodding at you as she swallows.
"Thanks. Sorry I just... I don't know. Sorry to burden you with another member. You could leave me here if you want, I doubt I'd be that helpful. Plus it seems the dragon doesn't want me with you."

 

I sprout near the new draconian. "Howdy! Who are you?"

 

"Aaahh..." She leans back, surprised but winded.
"What...? My name is Ragnyon. I'm the last prophet..."
