"Yes, we somehow survived. Most of my friends had lost hope; I'm quite surprised I actually managed to neutralise Xlentia really." I say.

"Though...I guess there was one casualty. An incredibly powerful being named Crelucium was...I don't know. He's gone, for all we know." I say, somewhat sadly.

 

"Oh... I'm sorry for your loss."
"Rina, what's going on? Did you find Eras?"
"Not yet, Aria. Here, I'll ask Aj.

Pardon the tangent, but have you seen Eras? My sister lost her companion along the coast of The Darklands."

 

"Why yes, last time I checked he was with my party." I say happily.

OOC: I can't actually remember if he's still with the group...

 

"Some of his people have my pet captured. I told her to stay put, but I guess she sunk a boat or two anyways. It's strange, I had just fed her..."

"You could flood the town and free her yourself."
"I don't want to hurt innocents."
"Forgot. Sorry."

 

"What 'pet' are we talking about?" I ask, concerned.

I smile at the merciful attitude towards innocents.

 

"Kai, my Leviathan."
"Hey, at least she's not as reckless as Lisa's..."
"True... heh. I saw her recently, though. She's fine."
"That's good."

 

"Oh...a leviathan..." I say, somewhat shocked, "Well, I'm sure we could work something out to let Kai free."

 

"Is there something wrong with a Leviathan?"
"It's like having a pet snake. I don't see the issue."

 

"No, no, nothing wrong. It's just...no, never mind. I'm sure we can get your Leviathan back." I say happily.

"Though, we might need to wait until daybreak. Most of us are asleep right now." I add.

 

"I understand. Thank you. Might we stay here for the night? I kept Aria up looking for Eras."

 

"You may, I'll keep guard; It's important to get sleep." I say, starting to descend.

 

"Claire, get some rest too."
The beast nods and glides down on a gently breeze.
Aria seems to already have crashed on Claire.
"Thank you, Aj. This world has gotten kinder since we had to put up the barrier."

 

"No problem. It's rude to kill someone you've just met, anyway. Always good to find out who they are, and what their morals are." I say, landing.

I look around, smiling as I see everything undisturbed.

I turn to you, "Thanks for keeping watch. They're friendly, and need rest. It turns out they were looking for Eras." I say.

 

"Alright. Good to know."
I say back.

 

"What are we doing here anyways?"

I sprout beside you. "Howdy! It seems you've beaten the "final boss", mhm? This would certainly be the perfect time for some kind of treasure chest to magically appear, so you can claim your loot for defeating the boss, mhm? Why, maybe you should get enough "experience points" to level up, mhm?" It seems I'm rather condescending.

 

"Stop that."
I say.
"You sound like Quagsire."

 

"Whilst confirmation helps your cause, it does not explain why you're here."

 

"Who's that?" I ask. Then I "shake my head". "Ah nevermind."

"I also don't know what we're doing here. I'm just a part of my soul in this totem. The rest of me is in the overworld."
