Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh? You're back. Aj was defective, I suppose..."

A string above Nyre is cut, and he falls to the ground, limp. The sky darkens.
"....I'LL JUST HAVE TO REMOVE YOU MYSELF."
Crelucium is instantly wiped from the world and your memories.
A collosal claw pins Abigail's wing to the ground.
"'WORM' THIS, LITTLE GIRL..."

 

I look at the claw.
"Ooookay."
I say, as I land.
I run over to Nyre, and look at his face.

 

His eyes are drained of color, as are his scales.
His soulcore is absent from its locket.

He's been dead a while, his body's cold.

 

"He's dead!"
I shout.
I search for his crossbow.

 

Everything seems to get wound back, and Nyre is found within the grasp of a purple hand.

"I've been removed from time before. Don't think I'm not used to it." Crelucium says. He seems to negate the effects of Nyre's magic, his giant hand crushing Nyre slowly.

"You see, a child born from both a shadow and a light creature should just die. It contradicts itself, light cancelling out darkness and vice versa," Crelucium booms, "I guess in a sense, you could call anything surviving this an error, a paradox."

"Holy crap that explains everything..." I say, putting my hands to my head in a revelation.

 

Next to his body. It's extremely customized. There's two bolts left loaded in a clip of sorts, and the reloading is done by a lever next to the trigger.

OOC: He's gone. He wasn't removed from the timeline.

I take the crossbow, analyzing it.
It's pretty neat.
I search his body for anything he might've used to hold it.

 

OOC: Remember that speech about paradoxes and how they negate magic and follow no rules etc.?

"No, I see where I'm not wanted. I'll take a smoothie break and come back later maybe." Crelucium says to nobody, shrinking to normal size and walking through a dark purple portal; waving.

I get over my revelation and run over to Abigail, trying to get her wing free.

 

He used his claw to hold it...

There's a stash of bolts in a lazily melted-on pocket on his robe.

OOC: Host override. I've mentioned this before.
(EDIT: Wrong name) I have the power to erase everything from ever existing in any timeline, any world, any scenario.

I take the bolts as well.
...But there has to be someplace where he put in when we wasn't using it, right?
Maybe he de-summoned it?
Maybe he just always held it?

 

OOC: Paradoxes man, don't question em. But I guess Crelucium's out of the picture in either scenario, and I guess can come back.

"Yeah, you seem to be in quite a pickle there. Want me to save your asses so you don't get erased?" Shadow Stephanie's voice echoes near me.

I look over at Ihra thinking.

"Alright, we're pretty screwed here. I'm pretty ready to get over this guilt anyway and leave this place behind should things go terrible." I say.

"Excellent choice!" Shadow Stephanie says, as dark portals grab Artemis and Katie.

Abigail transforms back, and a portal takes her, as with Stephanie.

"Sorry, Ihra." I say, stepping through a dark portal.

We've all left.

 

OOC: Oh. Well....
I sprout from the ground near Ihra. "Jeez, it took so long to try and track you guys! Next time try and inform me if you are going!"

 

"Yeah, you're gonna want to leave."
I look over at you.
"Bad thing. Here. Turn-you-to-dust-before-you-open-your-mouth bad."

 

"No thanks. I don't want to lose track of you guys again. Besides, as long as I'm not fully here, I can probably live." I immediately gasp and my face is filled with regret upon saying that last statement.

 

I start ignoring you, still searching Nyre.

 

There's a little strap on it, he likely just carried it over his shoulder.
...Though every time you've seen him, he's been holding it.

OOC: I'm just going to rewind time and recommend you change something in your action.

But not before making you feel guilty.

In another time, maybe Xlentia wouldn't have gotten the staff. Maybe the world would have survived.

But it didn't.

Xlentia didn't bother going to the Void to break the staff's seal over the crystal after she smashed Ihra. One step was all it took; she was too young, too weak.
Nothing anyone did as much as scratched her scales.


An envoy was sent to Shadow Home. They only left a letter:

Aj and crew,
The Queen of The Void wishes to express her thanks for helping her finally achieve her ambitions. Ihra is long gone, the world she was in obliterated, and all hope of the survival of her home is gone. Xephyr was assimilated and their homeworld annihilated, and the escaped Chronos did not last long.

Your world was spared from destruction due to its assistance of Xlentia.
If we need help again, I do wish we still have your service. Those of us left are greatly appreciative and hope your lives bring you great fortune and fame. Please come to the Queen's palace to receive your reward; she is rather busy.

Let's see if he changes his choice. If not, then I'll wind it back before he ticked Xlentia off past the point of no return.
