Maelstrom Build (lvl 70 - 90)

Hey forum dwellers! So I've been seeing more and more people looking for and asking for a maelstrom build, and I have yet to see one made, hence why I'm making one for you all :D Lets get started :P

Maelstrom is a level 70 bow that only does water, thunder and air damage. It is important that we focus our build upon these elements​

Blue mask (lvl 68)

The blue mask is great for the much needed stat increase for the elements and it will most likely be the piece of armour that gives you the ability to wear the rest of the armour pieces.

Millennium (lvl 63)

Millennium is yet another armour piece that not only boosts all your skill points but also your spell damage. With the maelstrom it's important to have good spell damage as the bow itself gives a good increase in % spell damage.

Crystal (lvl 69)

(This crystal does not have max mana regen so don't panic lmao)
Crystal is a very good piece of armour for maelstrom builds because not only does it improve your intelligence and agility (both stats of which make up the base damage of maelstrom) it gives you a good amount of mana regen as well, supporting the use of spells. The health is nice as well.

Passus Lux (lvl 73)

This is the armour piece that boosts your dexterity (since crystal boosts air) and provides yet another boost to mana regen. The mana steal will come in important later. In summary it's a good piece of armour for health, damage and mana regen (at max of course)

This bow is life. Not only does it provide great elemental damage, the spell damage increase and elemental damage increase makes the bow does lots of damage. Increase in intelligence, agility and dexterity skill points are very useful as well.

(The life steal on the ring is important, more will be explained later)

The good ole' jester set, with the sexy 300 increase in spell damage. the stat boosts on the ring and the bracelet are vital to this build (once again, % spell damage increase on maelstrom :P)

Suppression (lvl 76)

(this is like the final trump card lmao)
This is the reason why the mana steal and life steal are important. In order to boost the final mana regen stat to 9/4 (decent for this build) we use a maxed mana regen suppression. We can cancel out the negative effects by having good mana steal on the maelstrom bow, passus lux and jester necklace as well as having good life steal on the jester ring. This leaves us with a good mana regen ring with no drawbacks :D

Strength: 29
Dexterity: 72
Intelligence: 79
Defense: 29
Agility: 79



This maelstrom build focuses around a high damage output and making use of mana regen to quickly cast spells (which may save your life one day). By making use of stats from different items we can bring out the full potential of others! This may not be the best maelstrom build out there but I sure hope you learnt something from reading it!

Yeah, its sad, some builds get lots of upbeat comments and feedback then some of them just sadly, fade away. Good thing is, is that the ones that have hundreds of replys are more likely to get nerfed xD :3

Maelstrom is the strongest weapon from 70 to 90(?). But I haven't seen anyone making maelstrom build thread before this xD
Anyway nice build, and maybe you should post some more summary (Damage, All IDs from compass, Skill Points etc.).

Maelstrom is so great because it has the three elements that aren't used by Bomb Arrow, so if you use that spell, you'll end up dealing insane five-elemental dmg :D

 

And that's why maelstrom is one of the best bow's in wynncraft <3

 

And it's not even high level :D
