Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I manage to get up, standing weakly. I walk over Artemis, "Instead of drinking everyone...elses blood, drink...this." I say, handing Artemis what looks like a green heart.

"Uh...what is it?" Artemis says, a little put off by the appearance of the bulbous heart.

"I used to eat them when I was younger...they have blood in them, so try drinking from it." I say, exhausted.

Artemis reluctantly bites into the green heart, and starts drinking the blood from within. The heart visibly shrinks as Artemis drinks its blood.

"Tastes like a mix of apples and blood." Artemis says, her mouth bloody.

"Yeah they...come in different flavours." I say, summoning a cherry-red heart and biting into it. Blood spills from the heart, which I try to catch.

"Everyone has different flavoured blood. Maybe you just eat iron-rich food." Artemis says calmly.

 

No better time when Icicle's still asleep.

Except...
He's sleeping in the doorway now...?

Ihra heals you a bit, some of your blood returning.
"Artemis, slow down a bit on the blood. You'll scare the daylight out of Sgavrinn."

 

The green heart Artemis held is now completely depleted of blood, "Daww, I'm sorry Sgavrinn." Artemis says, petting Sgavrinn gently.

I finish eating my red heart, "Blood can be a little addictive at first, though I'm sure Artemis will learn to control her urges, and use them against her enemies," I say, "The hearts are designed to get her off of drinking other's blood whenever she feels like it."

I summon a purple heart in my hand, "Want one?" I ask, offering the heart.

 

"Ugh... No thanks. I'll stick to water and tea."

Sgavrinn whimpers faintly before laying down.
"All this blood makes me a little dizzy..." He utters, a bit dazed.

 

"Huh??" I exclaim.

 

Well, so he's... sleepwalking?
He gets up and walks into the side of your desk, clearly asleep.

 

"You still have talent and ability. When the Darklands became one kingdom in the end, it was because Runetrel offered to build roads for the rest of the Kingdom. I'm not saying you necessarily have to build roads, but helping others could be a good option to start off trade."

"Actually, the Cloud Dragon breathes water and mainly has plant abilities. And I'm pretty sure clouds are just evaporated water..."

 

"We could make crafts, were we to have tools. This is frustrating..."
"I brought some supplies."
"OH THANK THE GODS."
"They're all for crafts, but..."
"PERFECT. Where's Carla?"
"Here."
"Can you start working on little carvings? We need something to start trading with."
"We'll need a ton of resources. Will crafts be enough?"
"It'll be a start."

Carla approaches you.
"Sir, might you be able to spare or tell me where I could find metal or clay? Maybe wood?"
Lyla moans.
"Please pay the gods of this world more respect."
"O-oh... Pardon my manners!"

 

"Suit yourself." I say, passing the heart to Artemis; which she glady takes and bites into.

Various flowers bloom around Sgavrinn, giving the air around him a potent, flowery aroma.

"Well, now nobody is unconscious and we're not getting attacked, shall we go to Brisingr?" Abigail asks happily.

 

"Why not. Ready, Rineth?"
"Sure."

 

Abigail's face lights up with joy, and she runs off to grab Stephanie.

Artemis sits on Sgavrinn's back, smiling.

"So, uh, how does this work?" Katie asks, confused.

 

"How does what work?"
"Travel? You climb on my back and don't fall off."

 

"I know but...you're really big." Katie says.

Abigail runs back, practically dragging Stephanie.

"Lets go lets go lets go!" Abigail says, jumping up and down.

Artemis gently pets Sgavrinn, and shadow wings grow from my back.

"I'm sure Abigail will like to see the goddess you mentioned." I say.

 

"She might be a little hyper for her taste."

"I'm really big. It's really hard to fall off unless you try. You can walk around on me mid-flight. I don't see the issue. Hold the scales running down my spine or lay on me, I don't care."

 

"Do you want me to carry you up?" I ask Katie.

"Yes, please." Katie says, embarassed.

"Abigail, calm down." Stephanie says, trying to calm Abigail. Abigail is shaking with excitement.

 

"I'm not really one for formalities. Hmm... metal can be found in the Shrouded Peaks. There's tonnes of metal in the mountains. There is a large forest near to the western end of those mountains. I'm not sure where you would find clay though. Do you need it to make houses? I hear that some kingdoms use clay for building, but my kingdom usually uses stone and metals. What sort of places do you find clay?"

The Leoseal slides over to Katie.
It looks like it wants Katie to ride it...

 

"Clay for other crafts. Would you mind taking me there? I usually work with metal."

Rineth drops his wing to the ground, acting as a giant ramp. Ihra blinks up, and Sgavrinn hums a bit.

 

"Oh, hey Sebastian!" Katie says, petting the Leoseal, "Don't worry, I'll take you with me."

Katie sits on the Leoseal's back, looking at me, "I'll see if I can carry the both of you..." I say.

Stephanie and I walk up, and Katie follows, taking Sebastian with her.

Artemis hugs Sgavrinn.

 

"I can carry other dragons. Don't worry about weighing my down."

Sgavrinn takes off, circling Rineth.
"Let me know when you're ready." Rineth calls.

 

OOC: What is it with me going past a location on the way to somewhere and THEN having to go all the way back XD.

"Ok, let's go there."
I fly into the air and start heading north-east.

Sebastian slides up happily onto Rineth.

Hythania climbs onto the wyvern and Idala climbs onto Aura.
Hryth wakes up and starts floating into the air.

The wyvern flies a short distance, though he seems unusually unused to flying.
Idala says, "I'll fly on Aura. Wind Dragons enjoy flying."
Hryth continues floating. It seems that Hryth isn't able to go on the ground.
