Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Woah woah woah, hold up. You need three fragments to do the ritual. Furthermore, I'm not even aligned with Xlentia!"

 

"Who are you aligned with, then?" Artemis asks.

"Do we even have three fragments? I thought Leafy Bowler died." I say.

 

"I'm aligned with Virei'tus. You know, Divine Judgement. Not Decay."

 

"So, Vesius is going to free Xlentia?" Artemis asks.

"I thought Xlentia was trying to save Virei'tus..." I say.

 

"It's written that she wants to 'save him from his pain.' Which means kill. I don't know what Vesius is doing."

 

"Maybe I should go talk to her again..." I say.

"I don't think you should. Something seems...wrong, about her."

"Hey Aj, can I have that rope?" Abigail asks.

"Uh...sure." I say, handing Abigail the rope.

 

"I don't think she'd talk like last time she supposedly did. She used you to get rid of her problem, I think that's the extent of it."
"I forget you have two bodies."

 

"But, we're besties! Besties are always happy to see each other." I say happily.

"And there's the reasoning I was looking for." Abigail says, suddenly grabbing me and tying me up with the rope.

"Is there anything Xelntia-y about his blood? Can you sense a microchip or something in his brain?" Abigail asks Artemis.

"Hmm, his blood tastes alright; though I guess I could always take another sample." Artemis says, biting me in the neck (again).

 

"Did she say you were friends, or did you say you were friends? Also, what's stopping him from phasing through the rope?"

 

"If it'll get you to stop biting your friend and boyfriend, I have blood too, y'know."
There's a pause.
"Just don't bite my bones. Or touch them. Or anything to do with my bones."

"Don't give him any ideas."
I still look at Ihra like she hasn't aged at all.

 

"Oops. I said nothing."
She grins.

 

I shrug.
"I've had worse. Imagine you don't for-sure know how much time has passed, since you don't age. Couple that with no one speaking your language..."
I shrug again.
"It's why I'm not completely sure of my age."

 

"Did you do anything interesting or fun during that time?"

 

"Impressive."

"Wait a second, where did Riihs go and where is he now?" I ask, sounding beyond confused.

"Don't you dare try my blood." echoes a nearby flower, despite the fact that I am practically beside you. "Flowers don't have any."

 

"I have no idea. Don't ask me about current events. Rineth?"
"He went back to The Hive. Something about evacuating the Chronos."

 

"I see..." I remain silent for a while. "And what happened to you, Rineth? I saw you as a draconian earlier. What did I miss? Or was I just hallucinating again?"

 

"Ihra swatted me with her staff. Hard."
"He went flying. It would've killed him if I went full force."
"Glad to know you'll kill your caretaker at a whim!"
"Hey! That's not what I meant and you know it!"

 

"I see." I look at Ihra. "You seem to be a lot more mature than I last remember." I turn to Rineth, and ask in a near whisper tone, "Is she still flammable?"

 

"Don't try it, but yes."
"He kept me in the damn seal for about five thousand years. He deserved it."
"At least you got a good nap in."
"Okay... Fair point."

 

"I see." I look at Ihra, taking clear notice of her horns. "Rineth, I don't think five thousand years is a nap. Unless of course there's some kind of culture thing I'm missing here."
