Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"How about you settle you differences as light and darkness in a non-violent way?" Artemis asks, arrow never shifting from it's target, "Might I ask if you're insane? Why would I attempt to kill the one I love when he's perfectly normal?"

The darkness begins to wrap around your arms, though the gauntlet burns some away.

Darkness begins to crawl up Rineth. It feels cold, and weakening.


"People tend to avoid stepping on them. They're also fairly swift, so they'd be able to dodge out of the way if they were going to be stepped on." Artemis responds.

 

"Greetings. I have returned from....things. Anyways, I believe it is time for my revenge." I summon a water spear.

 

Katie turns the water spear on you, barely raising her hand. It freezes to ice, and looks a whole lot sharper.

"Blindness, Deafness, Mute or Extreme Pain. Take your pick." Stephanie says, summoning your voodoo doll.

Darkness suddenly surrounds you, and everything goes black. You feel a pair of hollow eyes staring into your very soul.

"yOu ArE nOtHiNg." A twisted version of my voice whispers in your mind.

I clear my throat. "Whoever said I was fighting against you three?" I say, sprouting a couple of vines that point menacingly towards Luphyx.

 

The spear stays, yet the darkness clears.

"KiLl ThE bAnE." My twisted voice echoes.

"You won't harm him!" Katie shouts.

Stephanie prepares a needle.

 

"Alright, first off, can someone explain what's going on? All I know is that there's a standoff right now. I've been, uh, distracted."

 

"Luphyx is trying to hurt Aj." Artemis says.

I give you a hollow-eyed stare. My red eyes seem to be gone, and the entire area around me is dark.

It seems Artemis is oblivious to my current state.

 

I look curiously at AJ, before deciding that this is normal and somehow shrugging. It looks like I am still intent on siding with you.

Despite me being relatively near you, a communication flower says "So why are you trying to kill AJ?"

 

"sTrIkE. hIm. DoWn." My twisted voice echoes in your mind.

 

"AJ, even if I'm in your side, I still have to see justification for him trying to attack you." I completely disregard the fact that something isn't right and that I may look insane speaking to AJ even if he said nothing to me.

 

"What?" Artemis asks, confused.

"StRiKe HiM dOwN oR DIE." My twisted voice echoes. Darkness consumes you, and you feel your strength sapping away.

 

"I'm sorry AJ, but I have my moral code. I'm not going to counter attack you lest I risk your friends attacking me, and now is not the time for that."

I turn to Artemis.

"Artemis, can you please tell AJ to please stop trying to force me to attack Luphyx without hearing his justification?"

 

"Uh, he isn't? He's actually pretty worried about what Luphyx is about to do. Didn't you just hear him ask you for help?" Artemis says, turning to Stephanie.

"He can hear." Stephanie says.

The darkness creeps around you as the area around me darkens even more.

 

He just lets it.
Ihra looks at him nervously.
"Aj? Why are you eating Rineth?" She shouts.

"That's good. Maybe I can see one sometime. Side note, why is your boyfriend consuming Ihra's caretaker? And the wizard?"

 

I turn to Ihra, giving her an ominous hollow eyed stare.


"What? He's just defending himself! That wizard's trying to hurt him. He's not eating them, he's just standing there, looking a little shocked." Artemis responds.

 

Ihra walks towards Aj, confused.
"Are you okay?"

"But he's darkness, isn't he? Rineth's about to fall over because of him..."

 

I decide to finally actually say something.
"It would seem that all of us are seeing something different..."
I look at AJ.
"And I'm not sure who's fault it is. Or if it even is a fault."
I look at Luphyx.

 

"Hear what?"

"Artemis...did anything happen to AJ while you guys went off on a trip? I can get the part that he's defending himself, but I don't think forcing me to attack Luphyx right away is being worried."

"Ihra, I don't think AJ feels so well"

"I think that there's something far worse going on behind this standoff" echoes a flower.

 

"They said that he might be a bit influenced by that Xelentia creature. This may or may not be a product of that."
I mumble, just loud enough so the flower can hear me.

 

I grab Ihra by the neck, gripping only lightly, however. Darkness begins to snake up her; I keep giving Ihra a hollow stare, my face emotionless.


"What? Why would Rineth fall over? I thought they got along." Artemis responds, confused.

"I can see Luphyx is clearly trying to assault Aj, and he's asking Ihra for help." Artemis says.

"Aj just asked you for help!" Artemis says, keeping her bow aimed at Luphyx's gauntlet.


"Aj was, and still is, completely fine." Artemis says, confused.
