Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Hryth stops moving and drools over the ground below him. A strange, gnarled tree forms below him and he floats down into its branches and curls up. The branches seem to fit his exact size. Even when sleeping, it seems that he doesn't stop drooling...

 

"Eughhhh..." Artemis says, looking at the drool.

 

Sgavrinn lands.
"I can't wait to go somewhere with you! Ihra's a bit easily distracted for my taste."
Ihra glances at him, looking bitter.

"It can't work cross-dimensions. That's the only known break."

 

"Maybe we could fly to Brisingr when the others are up? I feel a lot safer flying with you." Artemis says happily, petting Sgavrinn.

 

"Sounds fun!"

 

Artemis hugs Sgavrinn, "Best. Pet. Ever." She says out loud.

"Ugh, poptarts." I say in my sleep, probably disturbed by either Artemis or poptarts.

 

"Can we wake them up?"
Sgavrinn hums happily.

 

"I'm not sure if we should wake up Abigail. The reason she's asleep is because she was acting weird. I guess it wouldn't hurt to wake Aj up though." Artemis says telepathically, before clicking her fingers.

I sit up immediately, screaming, before calming down once I realise I'm awake.

"Artemis! I had a nightmare where poptarts where attacking me and- oh hey cool dragon." I say, getting distracted.

"Ihra let me have Sgavrinn and he's the best pet ever." Artemis says happily.

"Hey buddy!" I say happily, petting Sgavrinn gently.

 

Sgavrinn nuzzles Aj.
"You're boyfriend's a bit out of it."

Rineth eyes Aj blankly, if only for a moment.

 

"He can be sometimes." Artemis responds, giggling slightly.

I return the blank look with a stare.

 

Rineth's draconian form walks towards you, dark fog returning to his dragon form's eyes.
"Something wrong?"

 

"Yes, there's a box of poptarts in my storage I need to destroy that hasn't been destroyed yet." I say innocently, smiling.

 

"Good luck with that."

Sgavrinn lies down near Katie and Stephanie.

 

I stare at Rineth.

"Oh, hey little guy!" Katie says, petting Sgavrinn gently.

Stephanie looks back. She seems a lot happier than before.

 

"Sorry. Can I help?" Rineth seems emotionless.


Sgavrinn hums.
"Who's the nice lady?"

 

I just keep staring; a hollowness to my eyes. My head tilts to the side slightly.


"That's Katie. She's a guardian like me, but her element is water." Artemis responds.

Stephanie gets up and walks over to the group, Katie following short after as she finishes petting Sgavrinn.

 

"Aj? You okay?"

...
"Does she have a water dragon?"

 

The red from my eyes dims, and all that's left is black. My eyes look hollow.


"I think she adopted a thing called a 'Leoseal', a cross between a Lion and a Seal. I'd say we should get Abigail a dragon, but she can already turn into one!" Artemis responds, giggling.

 

"Aj?"
Rineth's braces energize.

...
"Dragon riding a dragon? That'd be weird!"

 

I just stand there; the area around me darkening.


Artemis bursts into laughter, and she manages to block most of her thoughts from the chain for a moment.

"I'm sure it would be, haha." Artemis responds.
