I tap the bracelet.

"How does this work?" I ask.


Katie sidles over and looks at the UI curiously.

"Where are we headed to now?"

 

"We're not sure, but try to walk. You'll go marginally faster."

She can't understand any bit of it. It's a 3-D holographic tangled mess, as far as she's concerned.

 

I tap the bracelt again.

"How do I walk?" I say, grinning.

I walk around the various exhibits, looking at each one.


Katie just looks back at Abigail, slightly saddened by her current state.

 

They smack you.
"Don't make me disable that."

Her wounds suddenly close, and the crystal pulsates.
"Thanks." The Aquos states to a mic.

They shut down the console.
"Almost there. We found something that works."

 

I giggle as I wander through the various exhibits.


Katie seems happy, "Thank you." She says.

 

There are statues of dragons, depleted stars, jewels, and a rather impressive collection of old artifacts which somehow don't have dust on them.
The walls seem to be innately glowing, but they're coated in intricate designs.

The crystal dissolves. Abigail is conscious, but is able to stand.
"For your sake and ours, I beg you don't come back. We can show you to The Void if you wish, Xlentia is with an Aj and said she'll bring you to him."

 

OCC: Basically I've been using all of my time to play on an RP minecraft server. No real excuses now.

"Your thanks aren't required. There's a fair number of places in the world you could stay... But that's probably for another time."

"Ooooh so the enemies are right here."

Zethes face palms, before he and Kalais dissipate and reappear side by side. The wind picks up and two miniature tornadoes appear, heading towards the attacking force.

Khione dissolves into the wind and reappears on the other side of the opposing army, slashing with her ice sword before dissolving again, reppearing somewhere else and repeating the process.

OCC: Too much effort to turn off text colors, sorry.

 

"Er... Understood. I'll tell the others. I think we'll start with the group that's not tied to the Hive then go from there..."

Tirai walks through a nearby portal.
"No way. You must've given the goddess one hell of an offering, Vesius."
"No, seriously. She offered."

"Please back me up," I mutter telepathically.

Well you just wiped out most of the force. The others were disintegrated by Vei's Chronoflux tunnel.
"So, that was anticlimactic. They're idiots."

 

I sigh, reaching out to Tirai "Yes, I did in fact offer."

Kalais frowns "Who are you calling idiot?"

"Not you."

"Really?"

"Oh my- Whatever, next time we'll throw melodrama in or something. Kalais, you can trip and fall in the middle of a fight, and slice your neck open. I'll scream and cry, and the enemy can kill me while I'm stricken with grief." He sounds completely serious.

Khione rematerializes nearby "Anyone who doesn't have dragon brains is an idiot, but these guys are honestly just massive concentrations of air."

"They sell dragon brains in the blackmarket. Or I can take yours." Khione reverts into a dragon and snarls.

 

"VESIUS WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
"I helped people."
"WHY DID YO- what? Okay, sorry to be so harsh."

"I'd take offense if I wasn't dead." Vei mutters.
"Come on, you three. Forget your rebellion if you can't keep yourselves together." Xephyr says concerned, petting Avis.

 

"Soooo.... Dragons. Dying. In other dimension."

"Right. Can we break them out with just us?"
"Riihs was listening. I already told him to create a diversion."
"Shit. Okay. Reflet? There's going to be a portal that's gonna spit out a few dozen of us, and they're all going to have black robes."
"Sarin told them."
"HOW DOES SHE-"
"It's been a while since we let you in the loop."

A portal swallows us before I finish my sentence.

"Hey, while a revenge quest is good and all, they're obviously saving their big guns for something. I'd bet that we'd be walking into a trap by now if we went forward."

"I don't know what a gun is, but I'm guessing it's destructive. Metaphorically speaking, yes, you'd be walking into their big guns by going forward. If you mean literal big guns, I can assure you that after all of my time in the camp, I have never seen nor heard of any of these guns of yours."

 

A Chrono draconian falls out of the portal. Their robe has a glyph stitched on the back.
They scramble to their feet with assistance from a staff and frantically look around, gasping when they see you.
"So the route works... May I ask your name?"

"Metaphorical. Point is, they've got everything they have ahead to break us. Let's let them waste their time."

"Reflet? I am Lyla, head of the Timekeeper's Council. Though, I don't know what we'll be called here..."
She looks at the crevasse.
"Thank you sincerely for your hospitality. Borrowed time is better than the end of mine."

"Unless you want to go face-first into their heavy weaponry, I'd-"
"Shit, I left his hammer there!"
"So you're saying they have an idiot's idiotically powerful weapon. Yeah, no. We aren't moving forward. You three have a Plan B?"

 

After a few minutes of searching, you can see a tower which looks exactly like the previous one except upside down.

"Hmm... it seems that if they're stronger than we thought, then we might have to revert to another option."
Arnold starts flying east.
"We're going to head for the Swamps of Decay."

 

Sarin approaches, wearily looking around the tower.

 

"Ah, and what are in those swamps that are important?"
