Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Are... Are you okay?"

 

Abigail faceplants the ground, having fainted. Her hair remains aflame, however.

Artemis seems rather concerned, yet I seem spaced out.

"I sure hope she didn't suffer a heart attack; stress can do that to you." Stephanie says, slightly worried.

"I don't really think I can do much here..." Katie says, melting into the ground.

 

"What... Why is she stressed?"

 

"I have no idea. It's one of the things I don't understand about her." Stephanie says.

"I think she's just fainted; I hope she's alright." Artemis says, concerned.

I remain silent on the matter.

 

"Aj? Are you okay?"
Easily distracted is easily distracted.

 

"I'm fine." I say, smiling at Ihra. My eyes seem to have turned yellow. I hold a large, black phial in my hand; cork slightly attached.

 

"What?! No you're not! What's happening?"

 

I just smile back, my eyes fading to green.

"I found it's best not to question Aj's slight addiction to certain elixirs." Stephanie says, slightly disappointed in me.

 

"Addicted? What's that?"

 

"You have a very strong obsession with a substance, and consider consuming more of it. If you stop, you wind up getting urged by yourself to consume more." Stephanie says.

I fall backwards and start rolling around on the ground, giggling.

 

Ihra pokes you with her staff.
"That's scary. What if he got addicted to poison?"

 

"He has been...with me," Artemis says ashamedly, "We're both immune to most adverse effects of poison, so we decided it would be a fun idea to drink some. One thing lead to another and we were addicted."

I keep rolling around, laughing. A strange multi-coloured liquid drools from my mouth.

"At least he's not addicted to poison now...in a sense." Stephanie says, shaking her head.

 

"What if it was the poison from this?"
Ihra grows a sweet-smelling white flower.
"How do you know what poison you have?"

 

"I tend to be quite in-tune with the alchemy I perform; I know what I brew," Stephanie says, observing the flower, "Mind if I take that? I'm curious about its effects."

 

Rineth flops over on his side. Ihra lies on the ground, entranced.
"Shurrrr..." She groans

 

Stephanie plucks the flower, smelling it.

"This definitely has some strong alchemical properties; perhaps it could be used to dampen your rage in your 'End of Innocence'?" Stephanie says, unaffected.

I roll over to Ihra and start touching her face, "Haa haa, hee hee, hoo hoo!" I say, my eyes turning blue.

Stephanie tossed the flower to Artemis, "Think you could grow some more of these?" Stephanie asks.

Artemis focuses, and a patch of the white flowers emerge around her.

 

She nips at you lazily.
"Stahh... llllll"
She just kind of lies there.

 

"Teeeeveeeee." I drone, my eyes turning green again.

Stephanie collects the white flowers.

 

Her vision blurs around them.
Rineth's wing is pushed off balance by the wind. It falls over the group, Stephanie included.

 

"Darned dragon!" Stephanie says, trying, but failing, to hold the wing above her.

"Who turned out all the lights?" I say, my eyes fading colours.
