Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I start dropping for a bit, holding the tree behind my head, making a 'T' shape out of the tree and me.
I adjust myself to fly in your direction.
And that's exactly what I do, once I get near the ground.

 

Ihra blinks past the fish and just hugs Katie, crying.
"Please... I'm sorry... I didn't mean it!!"

"I was worried you'd be hurt. Did you lose anything important?"
Curiosity has overtaken the youth.

"You say to a corpse... I may not understand why you have turned on everyone else, but I suppose it won't be my words to change you. I wish to see you a bit further from young Ihra next time. You may seek revenge on this world, but if you try to victimize mine, I will show you the full extent of my power."
Tirai turns around.
"You got ahead of yourself. Take a little more time to plan - ideally when nobody else is listening."
He vanishes.
"Good day, Arnold."

 

"Let's end this, shall we?" I say, grinning. The sky grows dark, and lightning repeatedly strikes around you. Most of them are near misses, but one hits the tree. I cast a spell, summoning a brick wall that surrounds me.

 

Katie begins breathing incredibly fast, before suddenly going cold.

Katie seems to just disappear, her body dissipating into the water. A rush of water flows past Ihra, and a splash can be heard near the surface.

 

"I just wanted to- oh no no no no..."
The moment you realize you can't breathe underwater.

 

The fish gather around Ihra and drag her to the surface. A trail of watery footprints lead away from the pool; the sound of splashing water can be heard up ahead.

 

*sputter*
"W-wait... Katie... I couldn't read the note... At least read-" *cough* "tell me what it said. Please... I forgive you, I don't know why you're running..."

 

The sound of the splashing stops, yet it doesn't seem to come any closer. A slight blue light can be seen further down the tunnel.

 

OOC: No, part of your soul is inside a stone figure in a cage on Arnold's belt. You can communicate through the statue and you can, if Arnold allows you to, fight through the statue.

Arnold sights... and then smiles.
"If only they knew... hehehe."

 

"It wasn't your fault... Aj threw the fire. I'm sorry. Please..."

 

The light seems to come from around a corner, and heavy breathing can be heard from around it.

 

"Judgement is ever-watching." Tirai's voice echoes in Arnold's mind.

"Please... Katie... Here."
She throws her staff and tomes on the ground.
"I don't mean any harm. Rineth put Abigail to sleep because it only takes one litte spark to kill me. She was drunk and all over the place, he didn't mean to scare you. I don't know what happened after I blacked out, but whatever it was, I'm sorry!" She wails, stepping forward then falling on her knees.

 

Katie stands around the corner...?

A water version of Katie, a blue glow radiating from within, stands around the corner. She still seems rather scared, stepping back a little.

"You...you went crazy..." Katie says, "I had to completely freeze you. I thought you were coming to kill me..."

 

"What?! Why would I do that? Even for bringing me down there like that, I've been through worse! I don't even remember anything until you froze me! It's like, I saw the fire, then was frozen and you were all angry..."
She takes a moment to catch her breath.
"I saw the note, but I can't read your language. I came down here thinking you were still mad at me and maybe you'd be less mad if I came and answered your questions."

 

"I thought you wanted to kill me for scaring you into the state you were in," Katie says, taking a more solid, icy form, "I felt bad for what I did and I didn't want you or Rineth trying to harm me."

"The note said I was sorry for what I did, and I didn't want our friendship to be tarnished. When you came after me, I was sure you were taking revenge." Katie says, rather shakily.

 

Ihra hugs the icy form.
"I'm not mad. Aj threw the fire, not you. I forgive you, and Rineth's not mad in the slightest."

 

"Th-Thanks..." Katie says shakily, hugging Ihra. Despite being made of ice, she doesn't feel cold at all.

 

"No, not really, as I had just created that section seconds before it started melting."

 

Ihra's staff gives extra energy to Katie, likely as an apology.
"I'm sorry to scare you... I don't wanna scare people, I want to heal them. I want to make mother proud of me."

"Did you ever try to build down that far again?"

 

Katie continues hugging Ihra, "Sorry about freezing you. I didn't want to, I don't think either of us felt like ourselves." She says.
