Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The water spear just barely misses your side from the change. I take aim, and will another water spear to charge. There are no more orbs.

OOC: So what's going on now?

 

I completely turn off my rocket boots and start falling, and I lay in a horizontal fashion.
I stop spinning, and go to the tree, and as routine, take another swing.
The tree's almost cut.

 

"There is something I am missing here..." I say, but then I get an idea. I summon a fireball just as the water spear misses you. I hurtle the fireball at the tree.

 

I smile as I continue to hit the tree.
The tree only has about one hit left in it before it collapses.
"Thanks!"
I say, smiling, as the side of the tree you hit (which is the opposite side that I'm on) is set ablaze.
"I didn't think it would burn quick enough if I tried to set it on fire myself!"
I make one last chop, and the tree is disconnected from the roots, and it makes a stump.
I grab onto the tree before it falls.

 

"Ah yes, the classic 'throw the tree at me' cliche." I say, as I summon another fireball.

 

OOC: Oops, sorry... I went into this, though I answered back then, after forgot... Facepalm.

"Seems like I need to teach you to swim, eh?", I say while walking away from the lake with him.

 

Abigail shifts a little in her sleep, regaining some of her strength, yet remains unconscious.

Stephanie smiles at Ihra.

 

"You're too quick to judge."
I say, smiling.
I lift the tree off the stump.
I turn the tree horizontally, still holding it.
I sheath my sword.
I start flying towards you, tree still in hands.

 

*cough*
"That'd be nice for next time... Sorry I wasn't paying attention."

"She's alive and well."
"I'm sorry, Stephanie. Instinct overrides conscious efforts to make actions understandable... Side effect of being old, if you will."

 

"I guess there's a cultral difference too. Most of the time, magic is used to put people to sleep; not bites." Stephanie says.

Katie pokes her head out of her pool, before diving back down again; seeing the still-unconscious Abigail.

 

I remain silent, but I descend into the ground.

 

"I didn't bite her."
Rineth shows his teeth; there are huge gaps between each of them.
"Magic was used to put her to sleep... it just only triggers when my jaw is locked."

 

"Come on out!"
I yell, and smash the tree into the ground, then pull it out again, and wait.

 

"Well, magic that doesn't involve using one's mouth," Stephanie says, "I don't think anyone would enjoy being inside a giant dragon's mouth."

"I know Aj wouldn't." Artemis says to herself, laughing slightly.

 

"Maybe I should've taken more care.."

 

"Few do. Most just aren't used to it. And by most, I mean pretty much everyone but us."

Ihra walks over to Katie's pool and looks at her reflection before tapping the surface of the water with her staff.

"Still, next time, maybe you'll teach me to swim. Are there lakes that don't flood all the time?"

 

A vine grabs hold of you from behind. I surface behind you, with an orb made of water floating above my head.

 

OOC: Grabs me by my what? It's important.

 

OOC: Oh, by your torso.

 

I put the tree over my head, so it's in a position where I can slam it behind me.
And that's exactly what I do, crushing the vine and still holding onto the tree which is now between you and me (and is still on fire).
