Arrow Storm ''upgrades''

Arrow storm 3 seems like a downgrade from arrow storm 2 because each individual arrow does 20% of your weapon damage, and it splits your fire. Arrow storm 2 deal 25% but all your fire in concentrated on one enemy. To hit the enemy with all your arrows with arrow storm 3, you have to be right in front of them and risk getting hit. Arrow storm 2 just fires where you are looking

 

Well, Arrow Storm 3 is useful in crowd situations, as you can hit more than 1 mob at once, and since there are more arrows fired, there's a higher chance of hitting.

 

Arrow storm at near end lvl turns into a more close combat kind of spell, having a lvl 3 arrow storm and arrow bomb would be near the same damage and just be slightly similar, but with lvl 3 it actually makes it better in some situations.

 

Yeah but you miss so much on single target enemies. So that brings up the question of. Is double shot with more accuracy and steady dps, better than triple shot with terrible accuracy but slightly better mobbing?

 

Well, we don't have to use Arrow Storm on EVERYTHING, right? That's why we switch it up with Bomb Arrow for higher damage and Arrow Shield for melee range. Plus, you're not trying to snipe someone with Arrow Storm, are you? IMO The level 3 upgrade is to create different strategies of attacking, but sacrifices for others must be made. Also, since the arrows have high-ish knockback, maybe its supposed to also act as crowd control?

 

Well, the problem is, not all the arrows hit. Even if you are in front of them. I would take a guess that about 10-15 arrows aren't even counted towards the actual damage due to the sheer amount of arrows with upgrade 3.

Also, on a plus side, arrow storm 3 is not only cool for showing off, but it launches enemies.
Like, REALLY far.

 

And it works wonders for eviscerating assassins in the Nether.

 

Yeah, just use it and twirl in a circle.

 

*Goes to a boss*
*Uses arrowstorm and targets all the arrows to lock onto the boss*
*Boss dies insantly before my arrows finish shooting*

Arrow storm is very hard to dodge because of how wide the attack is, while arrow bomb is the concentrated high damage attack.

 

So, with the broken spell damage calculations that affect weapons that do more than 1 type of damage, I should be doing 20k dmg with arrow storm as a minimum. (348*60) When I trap a helpless villager in a corner and arrow storm it. It fails to do anything past 14k. Please explain how you conclude all the arrows hitting.

 

I think 14k is more than enough...

 

I still feel cheated tho ;-;
