Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You're still holding up? Well then, looks like I won't hold back now." I say, although it's more than obvious I am going to hold back. The sky is covered with water spears forming. Mounds of earth form on the ground, presumably geysers, and several vines rise from the ground. Lightning strikes the ground near you. Several fireballs form around me.

OOC: What happened with Arnold and me?

 

I try pulling at him with a sudden burst of magic.

 

"How many more tricks do you have up your sleeve? Or... stem. Or maybe it's your petals."
I say, questioningly.
I start moving around as much as I can.
I'm heading towards the tree again.

 

All of the fireballs I summoned rush towards you, as several geysers erupt and a couple of vines and water spears charge towards you. Lightning strikes the ground in front of you. "Elemental attacks are certainly more entertaining than normal ones" I say, summoning a fireball.

 

Abigail seems appreciative of the use of fire, clapping.

 

"Normal is a strong word."
I start facing the projectiles and the vines, dodging the spears and vines for the most part, but slashing at the fireballs.
Although, I'm still maneuvering over to the tree.

OOC: By now, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone was watching. I mean, it's pretty much a light show battle by now.

 

"Does she even need to still be here? I don't mean to offend her, but why is she working on that potion here?"

You get him significantly closer, but he's not quite out.

Just as unlikely as it is, there's already signs of another flood.

 

"I understand if you want me to leave, just say the word and I'll go," Stephanie says, walking over, "I made the potion for you; I'm hoping it'll give you some control over your 'End of Innocence'."

"Are you sure you have to leave? We could use you, you're a powerful weapon against some of our stronger foes. Your voodoo could cripple them!" Artemis says, slightly saddened.

"No, it's...it's fine. I can see where I'm not wanted." Stephanie says flatly.

 

"Sorry to be blunt about it. Ihra's terrified of golems."

"What does a potion do? Is it like an elixir?"

 

"I understand, I wouldn't want to be around things I'm afraid of either." Stephanie says.

The crystal golem runs over with the potion, which Stephanie takes; before de-summoning both golems.

"Potions give different effects when consumed. Some can make you immune to fire, others can heal your wounds. This one, I'm hoping, will keep your mind clear and focused; keeping you in control of your 'End of Innocence' state so you don't unintentionally hurt someone." Stephanie explains, passing Ihra the potion. A small cork keeps it shut.

 

"Okay..."
She fiddles with the cork for a bit until Rineth cranes his head over, carefully puts one of his teeth into it, and pulls it out. She drinks it, and Rineth drops the cork on the ground.

"It's subconscious, only happens when she passes out. Hopefully it has no negative effects."

 

"Its effects should last for a good few days. I'm sure you'll find it's a lot easier to focus in that time." Stephanie says, smiling as she picks up the cork.

"So, if you're afraid of golems, what do you like?" Stephanie asks.

A small pool forms beside Stephanie, which Katie surfaces from; smiling.

 

"Artemis, Rineth, Sgavrinn, naps, people who don't run at me with pointing things, making people happy by healing them...
...naps..."

 

"Hey, what about me?" Katie asks, slightly offended.

Artemis smiles sweetly.

"Hmm, what sort of magic do you like?" Stephanie asks.

 

"I just met you!"
Sgavrinn nuzzles Katie gently.
"I like flowers and healing magic. And ice sculptures."

 

Katie pets Sgavrinn from her pool, before raising her hands. A large ice cube forms next to her pool. Katie lowers her hands, and the cube shatters into an ice sculpture of Ihra.

Artemis raises a hand to the ice sculpture, and flowery vines wrap around it.

"Healing Magic, hmm? Well, I know a few voodoo tricks that fall under healing." Stephanie says, taking out a voodoo doll version of herself from her cloak.

"If you wanted, I could teach you how to make two-way voodoo dolls that mirror physical damage," Stephanie says, "Should you, say, cut yourself, the doll would mirror the cut. Stiching the cut would heal you."

"Though, if the doll were to come to harm, you would too." Stephanie adds.

 

"I'd lose it. Then die." She mumbles.

She gets almost entranced by the sculpture.

Sgavrinn sniffs at the sculpture before going towards Stephanie.
"At least you trained Sgavrinn well, Ihra." Rineth says, keeping a close eye on her pet.

 

Stephanie pets Sgavrinn, smiling.

"Well, you could always...nevermind." Stephanie says.

Artemis eyes Sgavrinn suspiciously, before giving Stephanie a concerned look; gesturing to her voodoo doll. Stephanie simply winks back.

 

Damn it... I think. Checking for my vials, I see I left them at home. I jump after the dragon. "I am coming!"

 

Sgavrinn hums, then gives Artemis a confused look.
"Always do what?"

He happily stops flailing once you get in, and you get lucky with the flood. Seeing you're able to get your feet to touch the ground, the current pushes you out and you're able to avoid getting pulled back.
Icicle sputters freezing water on you.
"Th-hanks... That was s-scary..."
