Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Don't feel bad; you didn't know. Anyway, you don't owe Katie anything, an apology is enough." Artemis says, trying to comfort Xephyr.

"Is now a good or a bad time to mention Aj stole your helmet?" Abigail says, skating over to Katie's pool.

"He did?" Katie says, turning to me.

I dive under the water.

"Oh no you don't!" Katie says, diving after me; her tail splashing above the surface momentarily.

Stephanie seems to be stiching a voodoo doll of sorts.

 

"I mean... I met these three by killing their leader... captor... something. I still feel bad for his dragon."

 

"Did the dragon die, or was he set free?" Artemis asks.


Large ice hands place me beside Katie's pool; I'm frozen inside an ice block. Katie surfaces, smiling.

"I...think...you...should...just...let...it...go..." I manage to say.

"I think it's pretty funny," Abigail says, "Besides, the cold never bothered me, anyway."

"You need to chill for a bit, Aj." Katie says with a mildly evil grin.


Stephanie occasionally looks up at Xephyr, before turning back to her voodoo doll in her hands; carefully stiching away.

 

"What is she... Is that... No. You cannot touch the remains of my soul."
Her tome starts radiating dark energy.
"Please... I have little left."

 

Stephanie continues stiching the voodoo doll regardless, ignoring Xephyr.

She holds up the voodoo doll and compares it to Xephyr, before lowering it and stiching away a little more.

"You're not going to use that for malicious purposes, are you?" Artemis whispers to Stephanie.

"Of course not, she's worried about nothing." Stephanie whispers back, stiching button-eyes onto the voodoo doll.

 

Xephyr just stands there, submissive.
"I'm sorry... Just tell me what I did!"

 

Stephanie seems to finish the voodoo doll, walking over and handing it to Xephyr.

It's a rather cute mimic of Xephyr in voodoo doll form, "Here, it's for you," Stephanie says, "It's not bound, so it can't do any harm. I just figured you'd like a voodoo doll of yourself."

 

"I... Uh... Okay? Thanks..."
She seems confused and still wary.

 

You're standing on a small ledge overlooking the cavernous, rocky field.

"Xephyr met Avis and took her into her care. As for us..."

"Xephyr killed the person we were working for- not really willingly, of course."

"We all have our reasons for being here. I myself would like to make up for the misdeeds I did in the service of a rather evil group."

"And..." Khione flickers into a dragon for a few seconds. "Both me and Avis are a rather pursued type of dragon. Shape shifters."

"She did...? Erm, my rider was a pretty evil person. Xephyr took his life in exchange for mine. She might just feel sorry."

 

"I don't know why, but watching the lava was somewhat relaxing."

"I thought maybe Ihra could summon something to create a diversion, and-"
"Sure! Here!"
"Wait, I didn't mean now, I-"
A phoenix is woven from wisps from her staff's crystal.
"I..."
"You can tell it to do stuff."
"Okay...?"

"And you told her you feel empty. She hated that. So, she spent her only chance at forgiveness here on you. You should feel honored."

 

Several vine spears are thrown towards you at a fast rate.

 

"... I suppose it is. Sorry I kind of snapped."

"Fire? I mean, okay..."

"Wait wait let me try! Okay... Do a barrel roll!" Kalais orders the pheonix.

"I know, and I am, it's just..." He trails off. "Why would she need forgiveness?"

 

I look into the crevasse.
"You have no reason to apologize. I'm not supposed to be here. I'll never forget that. Still, it's the safest, and only, place I can be."

The phoenix doesn't seem amused with the order, but does a loop-the-loop anyways.

"I could give you my mother. She's strong. And not fiery."

"I know. As much as I wish my world- my people could never have been involved in this, I guess I have to accept the inevitable."

The phoenix dispels.
She looks into her staff's crystal, and a draconian in a crimson robe steps from a portal.
"You called?"
"Meet Vei, my mother."
"Er... Hello?"

"Well, she used her only shot at forgiveness for us to watch over you, so... Make of that as you will."

 

"Maybe. Your friends might still have come, to get vengence. And you hadn't done anything wrong at the time. It wouldn't have felt right... at all."

Race: Elf
Ability(ies): Blade, Bow, or Tome? (Choose up to two): Bow, if possible, blade ON bow? kinda like a bayonet, if possible
Position in community: If this is what i think it means, then a simple civi drafted to join war
Additional Details and Lore: An elf born an raised in his home town, drafted to the carvery, and born with the "Eye of an eagle" and is a great marksmen. All family is dead, and has nothing to lose, loves no-one, and seems very edgy. Carries an amulet with pictures of his family, and vows to avenge them.
Relative location of settlement:i'd settle for constantly moving, but if i had to, i'd say i live in a village in a large mountain range, as it provides for great archery. I mainly come back to my village from time to time to restock, as i constantly run out of arrows, hence the bayoneted bow

 

"I still thank you for not going down that path. Still, part of me canmt help but to wonder."
I just sit and watch for a while.
