"How do BOOK WOrk?" Katie says, slapping her head rapidly.

Katie suddenly spears the book with her trident and starts chewing it, "duhh, BOOK NO work!" She says stupidly.

Abigail puts her hand on Katie's shoulder, "Nuh Cattie, YOU BOok liek dees." She says stupidly, before ripping the book apart with her claws and eating the stray pages on them.

"WHAT IS book?" Katie says stupidly, slapping her head.

 

All the while, I'm laughing pretty hard.
I then stop laughing, and remember something.
I walk over to Stephanie.
"Hi. I don't think we've had a proper introduction yet."
I stick my hand out for a handshake.
"Name's Thirteen. Nice to meet you."

 

"Nice to meet you, too," Stephanie replies, accepting the handshake, "Quite the engineering mastery, aren't you?"

Stephanie stares you in the eyes.

 

Or... where my eyes would be, if I actually had eyeballs.
"And scientific. But not quite. There are a few others better than me."
I smile, saying that a bit quieter than usual.

 

"At first I thought you were an enhanced human of some kind," Stephanie says, "But I can clearly see you're full robot."

OOC: For all the times I've noticed you said 'enhance' in this thread, I never thought you'd pull that one.

"Well, not full robot,"
I say softly.
"It's more around the lines of eighty-five to ninety-five percent."

 

"Would you like to become more human or robot? I'm sure I could make it possible; with a little help." Stephanie says, glancing at Abigail.

"Durr Book!" Abigail says dumbly.

 

I glance at Abigail for a moment, then back to Stephanie, a bit suspicious and more serious.
"I guess it really depends on which way you go with it. The control over normally involuntary muscles is pretty helpful, along with the metal skeleton. The lack of a respiratory system helps with fights, although it would be probably good to have some eyelids. A digestive system I don't need, if I ever wanted to taste something, I could just lick it. Overall, I'm pretty much fine with what I am, but if we're going on the track of things I might want, then that's an easy answer. A way to fly."

 

Stephanie reaches into her cloak, and pulls out 2 red crystals, each the size of her hand.

"I'm sure that's not too far fetched," Stephanie says, smiling, "Abby, could you come over here for a moment?"

Abigail walks towards you and Stephanie, "What do you require, oh great witch." Abigail says jokily, bowing.

"I need your help in implanting and connecting these crystals into 13; if done correctly, he should be able to fly like you with your magma boots." Stephanie explains.

"You sure you want to go through with this?" Abigail asks, looking at you.

 

I look back and forth between the two.
"What's the risk?"
I ask back.

 

"The risk is witch-bitch might mess up your circuits, but I doubt it." Abigail says.

"Could you maybe not call me 'witch-bitch'." Stephanie hisses.

"You called me 'Abby'." Abigail responds calmly.

"Well, if you're ready, just say so and we'll begin; though, you'll need to lie down." Stephanie says, turning to Katie.

"Hey Katie, think you could form us an ice table?" Stephanie shouts.

A blast of water erupts behind you, before freezing and forming a rather large operating table.

"Hop on and ve'll begin ze experiment!" Abigail says in a mad scientist voice.

 

"If you're worried about 'messing up my circuits' then just don't touch my kidneys."
I say as I get up on the table and lay down.
"Alright. Do what you're planning to do."
I put my hands behind my head like I'm just relaxing.

 

A rather bright, white hot flame bursts from Abigail's right hand. She cuts holes on the base of your feet, before cutting out some of the metal bone.

Stephanie carefully places the first red crystal into your right foot, then takes out a pair of smaller, green crystals and attaches them either side. They melt and connect to you. You begin to feel the presence of the crystal in your foot.

Stephanie does the same with your left foot, attaching the crystal in the same way. Stephanie hands Abigail a pair of silver crystals, which she then places and carefully morphs with heat into each of your feet; the bases of your feet reforming into a more jet-like form.

"Aaand, we're done. You can get up now." Abigail says, standing back.

"I tied the crystals to your body, so you should be able to use them like you were moving your hand." Stephanie says.

"Be careful with them, though. The rocket function of my magma boots takes quite a bit of practise; as will your new rocket function."

 

Icicle's eyes shine with excitement.
"I can't wait!"

The gryphon gets skewered with an earthen spike. The other two stand there, waiting.
"Hurry up. I'm bored; final call."

Ihra's captivated by the crystal.
"Pretty."

She turns to Stephanie.
"I... I can't remember why I wanted to see you. Sorry."

 

I start smiling.
"Stephanie, you might want to stand back."
Instead of normally trying to get off the table, I decide that it would be a better idea to fling myself off the table using the new-found rocket feet.
I activate them for about a second, however.
So I just kind of slide off the table and slide on the ground.
"Hah!"
I say while still on the ground, then get up.
"These are pretty cool! Thanks. Sincerely."

 

"Oh...well, that's alright. It was nice meeting you, anyway." Stephanie says, a little saddened.

"It's nice having you around anyway, Stephanie." Artemis says happily.

"Mmm, I guess." Stephanie says.

"No problem!" Stephanie says, beaming, "Glad I could be of help."

"I guess you're that bit closer to being a flame guardian." Abigail says cheerily.

 

"Is it too extreme to say that I'll become one someday?"
I smile.

 

"Oh! Wait. Rineth, what was the thing with shadows and hosts and stuff?"
"Stephanie, Ihra doesn't understand something with your shadow. Shadow you helped her, you're here now, but another shadow you tried to kill her and your friends here. Have any idea what happened?"
"Yeah, that."

 

"Heh, that's an impossibility," Abigail says, "Unless your parents are Flame Guardians, or you can steal the body of one, you can't be one; sorry."

"Did somebody say extreme?" You hear my voice say.

I suddenly grind across the operating table on a skateboard, with my shades on, "Radical bro!" I say, holding my index and pinky fingers up; before jumping off the table.

"There's only one Shadow version of myself, so unless something was afflicting her, I'm not sure what happened either." Stephanie says.
