@Rawb I wouldn't try putting impediments in front of Riihs.

His training (exhibition) involves warming up with steel blocks.

Then cleaving them in half with a single swing.

So, unless you have a robot with over five feet of plating, don't count on stopping him.

I may mention he has a habit of cutting his own doorway if he's impatient and wants inside somewhere.

 

Well, its not exactly meant to stop him. Only to stall him to allow the flowers to talk.

 

Also random trivia on how I named things.

Brisingr: Means fire in the book series the Inheritance Cycle, which I happened to be reading and completely fangirling about when I named it.

Solignis: Solaire (still best mod) + ignis, fire in Latin.

Orrin: The king of Surda in the Inheritance Cycle.

Rytlee: "How about I name a city after a type of wheat? Oh I know! Rye! Leedeleedelee." Thus the name. Not kidding.

Telrain: Uthrail made it rain fire and brimstone on the city.

Drakonfell: It became known as the place where dragons were felled during the Dragon Wars.

Elgyem: Elgyem is a cool Pokemon...

Hylius: I like Hyrule

Teraglyph: Combination of terra or "earth" and glyph because it has lots of mages.

Siracus: ... I named it after syrup...

Arcventer Ravine: Named because when I first played female Robin (aka Reflet) in Smash 4, I thought she was saying "arcventer." I also thought "Elthunder!" was her saying "elf hunter!" though."

Karkinos' Reach: Named after the giant crab of the same name. But the giant crab is named that because when it died, it left behind a giant carcass. Oooh I'm so creative.

Cyntherna Mountains: Lucina + Cynthia. ... Because they both had blue hair in my Fire Emblem: Awakening run.

Larken Spires: I really like larks. Also one of my OCs is named Lark but shhhh...

Ry'ex: Actually the first thing I came up with a name for. Named after rice.

Varden Plains/Forest: The resistance (good guys) in the Inheritance Cycle.

Mount Vel'Nar: Gnar + Vel'koz. The very first League of Legends champions that popped into my head.

Kaasen: Just reverse it, lel.

I mean, I'm going to be clear on pronunciations and character name origins now. I know some of my names are kind of difficult to say, with all the odd combinations of letters.

First of all, Reflet is pronounced Ref-lay. Your life is now a lie. It's the Japanese name for Robin in Fire Emblem Awakening, and I was Robin and Reflet when I joined the rp, as some know. I don't use the English name because I consider Reflet to be female Robin and Robin to just be male.

Khione: Key-oh-knee. The goddess of snow in the book series The Heroes of Olympus. I just really liked her because she was a boss throughout the series (and a complete jerk but shhh).

Kalais: Kal-lay-is. Half brother to Khione in The Heroes of Olympus. Zethes is the same way.

Yhrey: Yeh-rey. It might have just popped into my head. You'll never know.

Gloomtail: I'm not even going to pronounce it. My favorite dragon in the Paper Mario 1000 Year Door game. Destroyed me so many times though.

Lariuth: Lar-ee-ooth. Anagram of Uthrail because I'm like that.

Uthrail: Oother-ail. I dunno I just thought it sounded good.

Avis: I just looked up Latin names and scrolled through them until I found the perfect name. It means either "like a bird" or "desired" (no not in that way no no no) and both of those fit in context.

Faelar: Fay-lar. I used a random elf name generator and saw one that said Faerin but lar fits into Brisingr's language so I used it.

Ehm did I miss anyone? That might be it.

 

By the way, Id just like to tell everyone that when I release information about what Helianthus's soul anchor is, I'd request eve one to please keep it strictly OOC. It's very important it's OOC.

Oh btw, can you please explain reflections for me?

 

Basically, reflections are specific souls related to Soul Magic. Soul Magic users basically use powerful spells with the help of souls. Since souls are extremely hard to destroy, this basically makes a large source of energy, even from one soul. Users can also use souls for information or advice.
However, you also need a reflection. A reflection is a soul which is permanently connected to you. There are ways to 'disconnect' the reflection:
1. The user can be killed.
2. As shown in the rp, a creature such as a shadow with powerful possession abilities can just put the soul into a crystal prison.
3. The reflection can be replaced if a powerful soul is forced against it. This one is important in two ways.
4. Other ways are likely possible. I'm guessing the Mizzic Staff (Mythic -> Mizzic, god, what is with me and puns today), since it actually means 'Soul Prison', could in theory be used to disconnect the reflection.
The reflection is required for soul magic. If you don't have a reflection, you can't use it.
The reflection can be any soul. As Daras said to Aj, the reflection is just the nearest soul to the person who is born with Soul Magic who is willing to be a reflection. Though of course, they can be replaced easily.
So they can be bad, like the reflection Aj destroyed. Or they can be good like... well, we might see later in the rp. They can be quiet, they can be active, they can be anyone.
Of course, an extremely powerful reflection can actually try to take over the user. Which means, if they aren't countered, the user can be destroyed forever and the reflection would use their body.

 

Let's hope my gauntlet is near while Idala loses her previous reflection. That might not end well (chaos is fun!)

My reaction to this: Whoa it's at 4495? That feels like its growth is growing....

Seems it's mostly because people have been getting in 100+ posts per day collectively and reliably for the last week (averaged logarithmically). That's why it seems so sudden; a full 1300 of those 4495 were posted in the last 10 days.... out of the ~130 days this has been going.

I also have fancy graphs! The pictures are kinda big though....

PS: I'll have an in-depth analysis soon of what might be causing fluctuations in the growth. My hypothesis is that it's reliant on more people, but who knows.

 

Well, AJ and Rawb HAVE been going at each other pretty hard...

Well, I can tell what parts of the graphs corresponded to my life events. Which may or may not feel awkward.

The crazy thing is it follows the same trend my productivity and focus did. I had to be put on several meds for quite a while. My recovery (and finally not needing to take so many damn pills) has only really been around this *last week.

Oh hey, that's only a giant spike.

EDIT: *Last two weeks. It's the only thing I marked on the calendar. I hate needing meds, I never remember to take them.

 

I suppose your activity would correspond, since you carry things along, mostly (bc gods). I'd break up the amounts by participant right now but that would just take forever. It took me 5 minutes to write out the formulas give me things, and the rest of the hour manually searching through the thread. If someone could get a restraining order from the ctrl-F (find) function, I would have 5.

 

Since everyone else is doing colours, I'm going to do some of mine:

Eras: Because you can easily tell the difference between him and the other characters, as I never say that he is speaking unless two other of my characters were speaking. However, if his darker side starts showing, he speaks like this.

Hythania: Hythania is just going to be white because of things mentioned above.

Idala: I was originally planning on her being purple when she uses her powers/her reflection tries to take over her or communicate through her, but since everyone else is starting to put colours on their characters, Idala is having this colour all of the time.
(Ik, it's hard to read in dark theme, what I do is just highlight it to read it)

Daras: Just going to test colours here.... hmm this looks good.

???/'Arnold': Again, going to try using this colour.
