Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That's... pitiful on their part."

The arrow shatters into bits in front of her.

"THIS..."
Runes and glyphs appear in a circle around Xephyr.
"...IS YOUR..."
A barrier clearly marks what is now the battlefield.
"...FINAL..."
Darkness fills the dome. Ice walls are put up around Xephyr.
"...WARNING!"
The dragons are frozen solid.

Ice spikes form on the ground.

"SHE MAY NOT BE MY CHILD, BUT I'M CERTAINLY SICK OF YOU. YOU WANT HER SOUL? LOOKS LIKE YOU'LL HAVE TO FORFEIT YOURS TO GET CLOSE!"
Her eyes glow in the darkness, a sinister midnight blue.

"There is no escape..." Her voice echoes.
"The Crystal Queen does not accept prisoners.
ONLY CORPSES."
The ice wall is charged with dark energy. It looks like one big bomb.

 

The robot disappears in a flash of blue light. The Drakonshade stays where it is and tries to dive down.

On the ground, Eras starts chanting.
Aura glows with magic for a second, which quickly fades.
"What did you-"
"I made Aura a real monster by turning his 'safety setting' off. Daras put that on them just in case. Aura can protect you now."

After Arnold teleports, you are now on another monster. This time you are on the ground. The monster looks a bit like a unicorn.
"Ah, good. A Shadecorn (OOC: I am so bad at names...). This will be interesting."
You can't see the group in the distance. However...
"They're just over there. They are too far away for you to see, even with the gigantic dragon. But my eye device is still locked onto them."

 

"Right..."

"Okay, you know what? Dying here isn't even honorable. I don't care whether I'm punished. Lariuth, I'm leaving with or without you." Khione disappears in a burst of ice.

"Eh... Uh... Same." Zethes follows suit.

"Sorry, Lar." Kalais teleports as well.

"You idiots..." A burst of fire, and Lariuth is gone.

OCC: I laughed so hard at Shadecorn. I'm sorry xD

 

OOC: I was originally thinking of Shadow Unicorn or Reverse Unicorn because Unicorns are usually viewed as light creatures. The Shadecorn is definitely not a light creature.

 

Riihs buries his halberd into the Drakonshade and cuts away at it with his lance.

"They need to at least give you a chance."

"Avis, honey? Stay here. Nothing can get to you. The defense here is... well... They won't get you. I'll be back soon, promise."
She sets Avis down near her feet, patting her on her head.

...

The four hunters discover that Xephyr can trace teleport paths.
"So... Leaving your dragons to shatter? Tell me why you're hunting her and I may let them live."

 

I decide to take action, disguising myself and teleporting over.

You notice a small child with pale skin and a striped shirt next to you, smiling.

A wooden arrow arcs over and around the Shadecorn extremely fast, hitting it in the side. You notice the arrow has a slight green glow to it.

OOC: Pretty sure a Shadow Unicorn would be a Shadow in the form of a Unicorn. They will stab your heart out with their barbed horn.

 

Even with deep wounds cut into it, it still tries to stand up against Riihs.
It hangs in the air, wings spread out, and tries to grab Riihs in one of its front claws.

 

One swipe of his broadsword later, the Drakonshade is down a claw.

 

"But they won't. So we might as well just leave it at that. Perhaps they're right, anyway. I did almost turn Ihra into a killing machine."

OCC: Khione, Zethes, and Kalais don't have dragons.

"Ooh I've heard this one before. You draconians really like your death threats." Lariuth glares

"Lariuth, please don't..." Khione mutters

"You've already signed up for your execution by running. Don't make it early."

"So have you."

"Well unlike you, I'm not expendable." Lariuth summons fire in his hands, and Khione shrinks back.

"Just tell her please." Khione keeps her gaze dropped to the snowy ground.

"Fine. We want her soul, okay?"

"Not we." Khione squeaks.

"Execution by fire." Lariuth mutters darkly.

"We're already going to die."

 

"Hmmm... Sounds like..."
A dark cage suppresses Lariuth's ability to teleport.
"...YOU'RE THE ONLY PROBLEM."
A giant icicle floats over him, primed to fall the moment Xephyr drops her hand.
"For Avis' sake and theirs, tell me why I shouldn't kill your miserable self right now. They shouldn't be punished for your failures, your genocide, your greed. YOU SHOULD."

 

While the arrow lodges into the Shadecorn, it doesn't seem to harm it much.
"Oh, the trio just in time for the show. Maybe I can give you some more contestants..."
Three more monsters appear.
One is a red dragon covered in fire.
Another is a light pink-white dragon with a long body and wide wings.

It seethes in anger. The sky starts to darken as well.
It creates a dark explosion in front of it. However, more explosions happen in a chain both in front of it and to its sides.

 

OCC: Oops sorry. Edited the above post because I missed out on Reflet's part again.

"Because... I-... I-...Won't do it again. I just... Ugh." He drops his head in his hands. "Don't kill my dragon."

 

"Ah, you seem like you're having troubles. Don't worry, it's my turn to tag out."
Riihs dislodges his weapons and spreads his wings, the Drakonshade falling faster than he.

"You realize the atrocities you've committed are deemed unforgiveable in my world. I will leave your fate to the others here. They can tell me to spare you, in which I will give you a choice; you or your dragon. Otherwise, both of you end today."

"Go easier on yourself. The staff is what's dangerous. With Rineth, she's manageable."

 

In a flash of white light, Abigail hovers nearby the dragon.

"Fire, eh? I know how to deal with you." She says confidently.

Abigail's blue helmet glows as she raises both hands, and dual streams of water jet from her hands towards the dragon.

 

I sigh "... Thanks."

Lariuth just keeps his head in his hands.

"Spare..." Zethes

"Spare..." Kalais

"Spare..." Khione

Lariuth remains despondent.

"... His dragon." Zethes

"... His dragon." Kalais

"... His dragon." Khione

 

The ice spike falls. If that didn't kill him, a blade of ice did.

"I'm sorry... You didn't deserve what either of us put you through. Though, I am curious... How did he get you to serve him in the first place?"
Xephyr teleports back briefly to make sure Avis is still there. (Not like she can really get out)

"Sounds like we all need to make amends... So, how far are these mountains?"

 

The Drakonshade smashes into the ground, dead.
When Riihs lands, he is sucked backwards by something breathing in.

OOC: Forgot the final monster XD. Going to add that in now (the one attacking Riihs is another one which was summoned.
The Shadecorn lets out a shrill, almost ghostly sound. An icy aura surrounds it.

A third monster appears. It looks like a cross between a lion and a seal. It slide-charges towards Artemis.

The water jet puts out the fire which it touches but otherwise turns to steam.
The dragon doesn't look impressed. It swings a large tail towards Abigail to bat her away and breathes a large jet of fire in Aj's direction.

The other dragon turns to face Abigail. It bites its own tail gently. It then forms a bubble around itself and starts rolling towards her.

 

Riihs turns around, halberd held out forward and feet digging into the ground a bit.

 

A grey creature which looks like a less scaly, more tough hide version of a wyvern. It's holding its head high, taking in as much breath as possible.

 

Artemis raises both her hands to the Lion Seal, and a green aura surrounds it; calming it and turning it to her side. "You have no reason to fight me; turn against your summoner and attack him." Artemis' voice echoes in a hypnotic tone.

I teleport above the fire, then to the side. Abigail flies up above the tail, barely dodging it.

"Not enough? Looks like I need to Phone a Friend." Abigail says, putting her hand to her mouth.

Abigail whistles loudly, and a dark portal opens above her. I throw Abigail's Fire Guardian helmet towards her, which she catches, and she takes off her blue helmet. Abigail puts on her helmet and throws the blue one upwards. Water begins to gush out of the dark portal.

Abigail's visor locks on to the dragon rolling towards her, and she extends her claws in preparation.
