Mana Regen Build Or Tank Build For Mage?

My current build is a Mana Regen Build with
-Third Eye
-Aquarius
-Greaves of the Veneer
-Memento
-Full Jester Set
-Stratus
This gives me 15/4s Mana Regen and around 11k Health

But alot of people have been telling me that Tank Mages are op.
I don't have a build for one yet, so if you have some please let me know.

But the main question is which one do you think is better.

If you make a mage build, then go for an intel based build. Then work around that. If you like the idea of a tanky mage, mix both builds together. Personally, I'm going for spell damage, but mana regen is something else I use. I used to have a tanky build, but that wasn't anywhere near as good. As a tanky mage, the only good things I had were spell damage and high health. Now I have spell damage, mana regen, walk speed, reflection and probably other great stats.

[Hive Thunder Necklace, the one with 10% walk speed]

Of course, you might want to change a lot of these things if you are going for a tanky mage. For example, you might want to change the chestplate because both possible ones are used for walk speed. You REALLY might want to change the accessories, since these are just the best I could find that wasn't Jester (Idk why people choose Jester, except for loot and xp bonus). The only good accessory I have is the necklace, but you would probably want to change that too. I'm not sure what to, since I'm not a tanky mage, but the rest of those items are pretty good for an intel based build with tankiness.
Note: My current build isn't my endgame build. I am level 83. However, many of these things can work for endgame because of things like high spell damage.
Note 2: You might also want to have a secondary wand. They help to fight bosses as long as they have good neutral damage. Also, the secondary wand could have xp/loot bonus or something else which might help you in different way to other weapons, such as faster mana or health regen.
Note 3: Greaves of the Veneer, which you have, work for a tanky mage build. I remember seeing them, and they do seem to be good for a tank build.
