Art Request

Okay, I feel really awkward asking this publicly, but for the people that decide they want to check out the thread, here it goes:

Something I've wanted to do for awhile, ever since playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, is I've wanted to have a bunch of pictures of Kit(the avatar) with different expressions to go along with my images...see, the Pokemon in those games all have little images that show their expressions in little pictures to accompany their messages...and then I found a bunch of RP blogs doing something similar and just wanted to do that even more. You may have seen it while the avatar was Gaster, actually. Something like that, but with Kit instead of someone else's interpretation of a character owned by even someone else than that.

If your artstyle is good for it, I'd like a number of pictures like that made. I can pay a lot of LE for it(128 for the whole set minimum), if anyone's willing. Stuff that's simple, clean, and expressive, sorta like SoloSnuggles' artstyle(I'd ask her but then I'd feel bad for clogging up her art shop...)

For those interested, just send a neutral expression for now, but at the end I'd really like a set of the following(and I feel really bad for the long list but)!

Neutral 1: Just a very neutral expression. This is the one to draw if you want to try your artstyle for it. Should have a basic, blue-gray background.

Neutral 2: Sort of like the neutral 1 picture, but slightly more sad in terms of expression. Shouldn't really be a sad picture, if that makes sense? Should have a basic, blue-gray background.

Neutral 3: Sort of like the neutral 1 picture, but a bit happier in terms of expression, just like I'm in a bit of a generally good mood but not super super happy? Should have a basic, blue-gray background.

Happy: Like I'm just in a good mood. Smiley, but not grinning. Should have a calm, yellow background to complement.

Excited: Sort of like the Happy picture, but grinning wide rather than just having a big smile. Sort of a happy red background(rosy?) to go with it.

Angry 1: Just a somewhat annoyed expression, more exasperated than anything. Background should probably be a light, rosy red sorta like the excited background, or else sort of a dark gray-ish blue.

Angry 2: An actual angry expression, but not completely enraged. Background should definitely be an angry red or orange.

Angry 3: Absolutely fumingly enraged! Same angry red/orange background.

Confused: Just that, a head-tilted confused expression. The dark gray-ish blue background would probably be good here.

Sad 1: Definitely concerned, but not actually crying-levels of sad. Again, the dark gray-blue background would probably go well here.

Sad 2: Actually crying this time(but not comical levels of waterworks). Once more, the dark gray-blue background.

Thinking: Some sort of lost-in-thought expression, arms crossed and all. Probably the neutral blue-gray background would be good.

Scared: A really nervous, skittish, reserved expression and stance(if that can be expressed.) Some sort of purpley background would probably work here.

Startled: Like I just saw a massive fuzzy spider slowly crawling in my direction on the wall or something. The angry/rosy red background would be good here.

Suspicious: An expression like I'm trying to disprove someone's lie, real shifty eyes and all that. The purpley background would probably work here.

Ashamed: Just that, some kind of ashamed expression, once more with the purpley background.

Embarrassed: Sorta like the ashamed, but, y'know. Less shame and more "oh god why me" blush and embarrassment. Once more with the purpley background.

Alternatively, have them transparent with no background.

I kinda agree with you. Her art style is quite simple but somehow eye-catching, even the proportion and anatomy is a lil' bit off. As Selvut said ealier that he do not want to give SoloSnuggles any more pressure on art requests, it is a bit unlikely that SoloSnuggles won't be the one doing his massive request.

As for the request, I'll give it a try on the first one. Not digitally since my PC's motherboard/processor is kinda fried and someone is fixing it, sums up my short inactivity in Wynncraft servers.

 

So do you need them to be made digitally or can they be made hand drawn?

 

I would prefer digital; it looks a lot cleaner than scanned arts(but that does not mean pencil arts look bad it just is not what I am looking for sorry)

 

Nuu, it's fine. I was showing my sister the request and she offered to do it. She just asks ; how many pictures do you need and what expressions.

 

Well, if it is pencil art, sorry but no thanks...if it is digital art, though, the first post has what is needed in the spoiler, and either way, whether she was planning hand-drawn art, does digital arts but is not what I am looking for, or does it good enough, tell her thanks please?

 

It's digital art yes, and yeah that's it. She's starting it now ^.^

Ok, so... I have never played Pokemon Mystery Dungeons, but I am 100% willing to draw these. Selvut are you able to tell me some of his features? That would make drawing him so much simpler. ~Thanks
Also, is it alright if it's done in pencil? I don't have any markers with me at the moment, my works are a "tad" to the Goth side when I don't use markers.

 

Well, there are reference pictures in the OP. If you really need more I can message you a textual description, though...

...and, erh...if you look above a bit, hand-drawn art tends to look rather rough for my tastes...and I am not sure how you would do the backgrounds with pencil, either...

 

Here's a ton of examples for different pokemon from the games themselves. I think these are from the Darkness, Time, and Sky entries.
