Yes. quests and guilds ruined everything

 

I remember when server 18 was updated and only VIPs could join but thanks to bug/lag I entered it for about 1h... That hype when you first time heard music...

 

No. Having a shit time results in a good feeling. If everything is easy (like it is now), then you will have no feeling of mastering the game

 

My 2 years was a few days ago, worst but most life changing decision I've ever made so far

 

We should treasure those moments where almost no one were level 70. The moments in nether that pissed us off. The adventuristic feeling the game once had. LE back then had value because quests were not there. Dupers were minimal. Just a minor community inspired by the craftedmovie commercials.
It had 10 times better feeling than gavel (in my opinion)

Sure, many things are better nowadays - let us never forget the stone shield - but I still miss them...
Nowadays everything seems to be so big and confusing - gone are the days I could just go online whenever and kill mobs for the sake of it without spending too much thought on the ins and outs of the game. Now theres all these elements, and requirements for armours that extend further than just level.

Why?

I've seen these kinds of threads on other forums, and 99% of the time, the thread devolves into a tornado of pessimism and a bunch of old grandpas spitting on new updates that the devs have worked hard on and usually say things like "I miss the old times, FUCK the new updates being given to us by the devs for free!"
Yes, I know nostalgia is a normal state of emotion and all that, and sometimes I do miss the days of 2013, but would you really prefer if things stayed that way? You'd have to get bored eventually, other people would get bored and leave, and that wouldn't be a very good thing, would it?

All in all, I've always had a bad experience with these kinds of threads.

I guess everybody knows that Old wynncraft was worse than new one.

 

I joined on July 7th of year 2013, but somehow I can't remember the Jungle being a dirt flatland and the lobby having 3 worlds only. My memory sucks, I know, there's nothing I can do about it.
And that's why I make a lot of screenshots when I see something interesting. A lot of great things had been added in the past time, but I still value the memories of the old days I have left. The gameplay was hard, the grinding was slow, the lags were real and the map was unfinished, many would say that the days of old sucked, and they will be totally right.
But that is the charm WynnCraft had always had: unfinished, unpolished, but it felt, and still feels, like home. And that is why I cherish my mementos as the apple of one's eye, for that is the reminder of how small, unimportant we all once were, and how big we've grown.
Now, take a seat, because now is going to be the time of screenshots.

This place was everyone's wet dream - the Dern Island, home of Dern Immigrants, the ultimate grinding spot. A shame that too got removed, but I guess it was for the lore's sake.
Date: up until 1st of August, 2014, also called the Mob Update.


Another island, my favourite spot before the Ocean Update. That castle was simply outstanding, and right now I'm planning on rebuilding it all by myself. Wish me luck.

These are the old Gavel gates, with me being in front of them in my shiny golden armor. We had absolutely no idea what this door was hiding from us...

Back when you leveled up and got 1% immunity to all damage, when Pig Valley was a thing, when the quest book and compass said “This feature is still in development“, when swarms were killing people wuo were afk, when the elder wand was the best wand and was worth 2.5 lewhich was a ton, when you could not /msg across servers, when nobody knew what a Yahya was, when item buyers were just merchants who bought “Any Bow“ and “Any Golden Armor“, when the old nether was around, when you didn't need to upgrade your bank, when pets were sold in packs, when twitter.com/GrianMC/status/372099969362038784 , when there were no horses or scrolls and when there was only VIP, no Vet or VIP+.
