Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I know you liked him, so I'll allow you to keep him as your imaginary friend." I say happily.

"Why hello Count Drake! Why yes! I would like some tea!" I say to the air next to me.

 

The flower echoes, "Shhh, they just voided me. In their eyes I don't exist anymore."

"You destroyed me set."

 

"Oh don't worry! I brought my own!" I say to the air.

Surely that was just coincidence...right?

 

The black dragon attempts a smile back. He hardly has anything you could call teeth yet.

The red dragon tries to swat your tail.

The snowy dragon just kind of accepts it, looking down.

"He- oh. I'm sorry. I guess I can only hope the same fate doesn't... befall anyone here."

 

"Har har, very funny. As far as you know, I don't have an imagination."
I lift up my left and and tap the metal tip of the pinky finger.

"And in the mind, to them, you're dead, I guess." I mumble quietly so only the flower can hear.

 

"Why imagine when you can have the real thing? With free Artemis Apology DLC too." I say with an ominous tone.

 

"Damn well hope Artemis Apology DLC is free. I'd be dead very fast if it wasn't."

 

"I think 'Free DLC' is free, 13." I say, giving 13 an odd stare.

I turn to one of the flowers.

"No point in denying it, I know you're there. Artemis and Abigail don't; all but pawns on my chess board, who I've been carefully positioning, amoung other pieces, for checkmate." I say evilly.

 

"It's fine. I've been through worse. Of course, there's a certain pain knowing that the worst is yet to come."
I wrap my tail around the red dragon's and gently tug at it.
I continue scratching the black dragon, sometimes scratching its neck.

I attempt to get closer to the snowy dragon.

You feel your energy being siphoned.
"Everything you've done to jeopardize Ihra... it will be your downfall in your darkest hour..." a voice echoes in your mind.

 

OOC: I said 'hope' with more vigor, not 'free'.
I ignore your comment.

 

Isn't there?" The iridescent dragon yawns and gets up. Upon seeing the mage, they jump at them, attempting a glide that leaves a tiny (comical) rainbow trailing behind them. The dragon wraps itself around the mages head and gnaws on it. The mage sighs and mutters something. A piece of meat materializes out of nowhere, and the iridescent dragon pounces on it, pulling it around the room quickly. "And she's the energetic one..."

The red dragon enters a sudden frenzy, flailing and rolling around.

The snowy dragon glances up, acknowledges you, and turns into a fly and buzzes next to your ear.

"It's like a day care for dragons. Reminds me of the Voidwalkers... I wonder if Ihra brought Rineth back again."
I release the red dragon, and attempt to pick up the black one.
I stare at the snowy dragon that's not a fly.
"I don't think that's a wise idea. I hear vibrations... being near me won't do much."

 

I remain silent, but am clearly interested.

 

The red dragon still flails about on it's back even after you let it go.

The black dragon let's you pick it up without any hassle.

...And the snowy dragon turns into a parrot on your shoulder "That's a wise idea. That's a wise idea." She repeats.

The mage sighs.

 

I start petting it.
"How do you deal with her exactly?"

 

"Eyy, that sounds pretty good! Darkest hour? That's when I'll be the most powerful!" I think, not taking anything seriously.

I look over to Ihra with a little concern.

"I should hug Ihra..." I think, trying to keep my thoughts private.

The forest spirits inspect you, clearly concerned about your less-than-human form.

"I may be a genocidal demon, but that doesn't mean I'm not past mercy." I say to one of the flowers.

I slip a white ring on my left finger; the left half my body inverts in colour.

"While there is a side of me that wishes to bring you to justice for what you've done to my friends..." I say, drawing Shadow Katana with my right hand.

"There still is a side of me that wishes to make friends and no longer fight." I say, picking up some dirt with my left hand. A forest spirit rests on my hand, and a flower grows from the dirt; it's roots hanging through my white fingers.

"Abigail would see no greater joy in watching you fall; while Artemis would like to apologise and make friends." I say.

"Your choice; what'll it be?"

 

"So, the tables have turned. I'll have to get back to you on that, as I have more pressing matters to attend to. However, know that either choice I pick, there will still be resentment in me for what the three of you have done." Echoes the flower. Then, instead of exploding into darkness, it simply wilts and crumbles into dust.

 

"Did you hit your head or something? Did I hit my head or something? Why is this flower talking? Why do you seem to know the flower? Who is this new strange--"
I stop, then nod my head stiffly.
"Eras."

 

The black dragon purrs.

"She'll learn eventually-"

"Eventually, eventually!"

"-how to control-"

"Control, control!"

"-herself-"

"Elf, elf!"

"-and that's about the-"

"The the the the the THE THE THE!"

"-Only thing that comforts me."

"Me, me, me!"

The mage glares at the snow-dragon-parrot, muttering something. The dragon teleports off of your shoulder onto the floor, now in dragon form.

"And that's mostly how I deal with it."

 

"Who were you talking to?" Abigail asks, suspicious.

"Oh, nobody..." I say dismissively.

Abigail doesn't seem to question it.

"You messed up again..." A voice echoes in my mind.

"Such is fated to be." I say, taking off the white ring; changing back to normal.

Abigail looks at me suspiciously. Artemis stirs, yet remains soundly asleep.
