Render Aldorei

This is my first time rendering a part of terrain on Wynncraft. It may be a bit dark.

 

That poll tho...
I wanna see renders, but I want pumpkin pie too.

Good render for a first, here is some of my constructive criticism;
1. Lighting
- Lighting is lacking in the render (If it's a day render, add a global light source; sun)
- If it's a night render, try using more individual light sources to add that effect

2. Blocks
- The blocks look a little... ehhh hard to example :/ 'dull' and 'lackluster'
- You could add an Alpha Channel to the leaves to make them transparent
- Download a water texture to make it more realistic or add effects to it to make it more dynamic and flowing.

3. Design Elements / Photography Elements
- Try using design elements to add purpose to your render, maybe rule of thirds? Focus point? Emphasis on the structure :D
- Lack of balance of the structure, I don't seem much of Aldorei itself.
- You could also use Harmony and Unity, ties a render together and doesn't add cluster points.

4. Nature
- Not much of it
- If you're using Cinema 4D, there are a lot of free packs you can download to add to your renders (Rigs)

I love to see you rendering and introducing yourself to the world of rendering. Now, don't take this personally, but I was told by a few moderators that downloading the map for own/commercial use is not allowed, unless you have some type of permit.
Please do consider this!

 

This is a situation I've been very confused with. Am I allowed to use a mod to download parts of the map for rendering uses? Or do I have to get permission first?

 

I've been looking up tutorials on how to do this on Cycles Blender, but I can't seem to find anything about it.

 

You are not allowed to download the map, unless specific permission has been given by Grian, Salted or Jumla, as they are the owners of this content.

 

I highly doubt that everyone that does renders has permission from the owners.

 

They don't. They actually do it illegally, but they did not know.

 

I've only seen people get warned a few times for downloading the map, and I don't see that rule enforced, either.

 

How do I get permission?

 

I had a talk with Salted a few hours ago, and we both agreed that this rule has no value anymore. Too many already have access to the map, so the rule cannot be enforced.
TL;DR continue as before!

 

I contacted Wynn Support last night to hopefully clear up this issue, but thanks :D

And why does Salted reply to you?! o.O I messed him about this and he ignored me xD (That was a year ago i think)

 

I mean.. He is a Builder AND a GM... So he can talk with Salted on the build server whenever xD

 

You know, Skype? But yeah, Salted is more likely to respond to me, a member of the Content Team, than people from the community ;D

 

No I mean when I was a moderator and builder, he still wouldn't reply
