So 2 years of GMs telling us Gear doesn't affect quests is wrong? If you'd like to triple all the numbers a second time and give that as proof, it'd be believable.

 

First, you do not know the exact XP that you had prior to starting the quest on each class, and you have not shown the XP bars prior to starting each quest.
Second, you do not know how much XP you gained, exactly, while you were completing the class, by killing mobs or by doing missions.
Third, you do not have a numerical base for how much XP you gained when you completed the quest and turned it in.

All of those things contribute to observer bias. There is no question that it appears that you have gained more XP with the high XP gear on, however, from the point of view of science, you have not proven your hypothesis that XP gear affects quest XP, as all of your data is subjective, rather than objective.

 

If he started the quest on both classes at a similar percentage of XP at that level, unless he did a considerable amount of grinding on one class during the quest, there's no way there could be such a massive difference. That's like a 5%-10% difference.

 

Observer bias? I finished Wynnex D at lv 78 w/ full xp armor + wisdom pot + dxp. Leveled to LV 84 w/ 95% xp . I can assure you, the reported 600k xp will NOT raise a person up nearly 7 whole levels from lv 78.

My friend, did the quest at lv 73. He did NOT have xp armor, but he accepted quest during dxp. He leveled to lv 76.

 

i litterally went onto gm set my lvl to 97 and turned it in w/o xp gear refreshed my classes and then turned it in with my xp gear so there was litterally 0 difference in my starting xp.

 

So, what are you now confirming? Quest XP has always been affected by the player's XP bonus, or that the XP bonus was changed sometime in the past so that it now affects Quest XP, and there was no notification of the change? Was the change intentional, was it accidental, or were all of the GMs who said that XP bonus did not affect Quest XP wrong, for whatever reason?

OK, thank you for adding that information, it clarifies the conditions under which you ran the test. So then there was no way that your XP was affected by anything other than the Quest XP. Which leaves us with only one more thing to verify, that I can think of at this moment.
Can you confirm that there is no XP difference, as to acquired XP by either base quest XP given, or by any multiplication factor, between the GM server and the game server?

And while busy with other considerations, thank you, and all of the other GMs and admins, for releasing this information. Now, all of the pseudo-OCD people here can have a blast with going through the table and finding all sorts of coincidences and conspiracies, where they don't really exist.

I never said that any level had the same requirement as the other? Might've said they are similar?
