Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A nearby flower echoes, obviously disappointed. "Look, I know I tried to kill or hurt some of you on more than once occasion, but come on. I'm declaring a truce here." The sphere, still surrounded by a fog, starts to glow, and releases a bright burst of light. The fog disappates, and you can now clearly see a small army of water and earth elementals. The earth elementals reinforce the sphere. "Look, I'm giving you only one chance. Stop this right now and let me study, else I'll cause Abigail more pain than once can ever imagine." echoes a nearby flower. The earthen sphere starts to glow slightly. It seems I'm getting ready to make a move in case you refuse the offer.

 

I disappear, appearing behind Count Drake, having located him using the flowers.

I hold Shadow Katana to Drake's neck, "If you're going to cause Abigail pain, I might as well save Artemis the job of killing you then." I say with an evil tone.

 

I shake my head. "Well, I'll let you know I certainly tried, but I certainly did lie as well. I'm not going to cause JUST Abigail pain." Suddenly you realize I've just stabbed you with a dagger made of light. "Interesting spell combination I've learned." You feel extremely weak. "A spell of light, and a spell of poison combined on a blade produces interesting results." I grab the Katana and throw it to one side, spinning as I do it. "You know, my last form I was hindered by necromancy. Now there are now checks put on me." I put my hand up, and immediately the sky begins to grow dark. "Again, I'm giving you one last chance. Stop now or this world will be flooded with water."

OOC: Sh*t just got real. This time Count Drake isn't defenseless, and has no honor bound to him.

 

"Leaving me no choice eh? I thought you had more honour than that." I say, my eyes glowing.

I unlock a potion of my inner Shadow.

I suddenly grow to 5 times the size I was, summoning Shadow Katana to my hand. The dagger dims and falls from me; it's light powers replaced with darkness.

"You chose the wrong Shadow to mess with." I say in a dark tone.

I grab Drake and throw him out of the dome with great force, causing the dome to shatter. I teleport up to Drake in the air and slam him to the floor with devastating force.

The sky grows even darker, dark as the deepest midnight. My eyes can be easily seen, glowing a blood red.

I grab Leo's soul crystal from Drake, the string snapping immediately. I ram Shadow Katana through my hand, shattering the crystal and killing Leo.

 

I remain calm, and then calmly respond to Aj, "You can't kill a necromatic soul" As I say that, it starts to pour very heavily, and a spear made of water forms in my hand. It is struck by lightning, then I ignite it on fire, and a small tornado forms at its tip, and finally, rocks rise up and float around it. "The bigger they are the harder they fall" I say, casting a spell to heal myself of any potential wounds. I shout a spell, and this time, you start to hear an ear-piercing screech. "Meet my friend, Mr. Banshee." I say, obviously expecting that the summon won't live long. I cast a spell to prevent my ears from exploding. I pull out Sir Robert's ice sword from one of the bags, and with another spell, It bursts into light. "Let's dance, Mr. Aj." I say, getting into a defensive stance.

OOC: Yes, it is raining like a torrential downpour, yes, Count Drake has an elemental spear and a sword of light. However, he still has the fancy hat and cape.

 

Artemis forms a thicker dome around herself and Abigail.

"The cloak, Artemis. Put on the cloak Abigail wears." A voice echoes in her mind.

"Wh-What?" Artemis says.

"Artemis, take the cloak from Abigail and put it on."

"Um, Abigail? Could I borrow that cloak you're wearing?" Artemis asks.

"Sure." Abigail says, taking off the cloak and giving it to Artemis.


I grab Drake by the head, beheading the banshee with one swift strike. I begin applying pressure to Drake's skull, tightening my grip.

"Tell me how getting your skull crushed feels, would you?" I say with a corrupt voice, my grip tightening even more.

The light sword seems to dim in my presence.

 

"Feels lovely" I say, suddenly melting into a pool of flesh, before reforming, completely fine. I move my hand upwards, and water starts gushing in form a geyser inside the dome. I jump up high into the air, preparing for a stab, but teleporting behind you to cast a spell. Lightning strikes you repeatedly. "How does harmless lightning feel?" I ask. "Look, I know you'll probably kill me, blah blah, but you do realize that as long as I have a certain item, I'll still come back, right? Or maybe you're big size makes you too stupid to understand me. I'll put it in layman's terms for you."
"I AM UNDYING" echo all of the flowers so loudly, that a large shockwave forms and knocks you off your feet.

 

A skeletal figure appears next to me in a dark cloak, holding a scythe. The entire area withers around it, and you can feel your life being sucked away by it's glare alone.

"It's a good thing I have Death herself then." I say, smiling to the figure next to me.

Death raises her skeletal hand, and you feel your life being sucked away at an alarmingly fast rate; your body withering. Death suddenly plunges her scythe right through your chest, it seems to destroy the flesh around it.

 

"Funny you should say that. Have I ever told you about the time when I made a deal with Death? Oh wait, its just Artemis." A portal opens, and all of a sudden, an army of smartly-dressed men holding unusual objects march towards you and Death. They form lines as the portal closes. "FORM LINES!" I shout. "PREPARE TO FIRE!" I cast a spell, and Death is knocked back slightly. I cast another spell, healing me as the dome explodes with water and lightning. "FIRE!" I shout, and a volley of projectiles are now headed towards you and Death. I smile, before teleporting away. Once I'm gone, Leo's crystal begins to glow, and quickly reforms itself.
"You know, it seems really weak of me to just teleport away, does it not? Then again, I'll tell you. By refusing mercy, disturbing my studies, disregarding my privacy, attempting to kill me even if I gave you another chance for mercy, I'll make an ass out of both you and me by assuming that you have forsaken the Light. Well, let me enlighten you again on it." echoes all of the flowers. All of a sudden, they explode into pure nothingness, and Light erupts from underneath you, blasting both you and Death with incredible amounts of Light Energy.
"By the way, don't try looking for me while I'm still powered." Says the yellow flower, before it too explodes into darkness.

 

Death seems completely unphased by the light. The area that blasts me simply turns into darkness, empowering me further.

"FIND HIM. KILL HIM." Death echoes.

You suddenly feel your life being sucked away once more, it seems you can't escape your inevitable encounter with Death.

Death turns to Leo's crystal, before completely destroying Leo's soul.

 

Even without a soul, the crystal reforms again. Another blue flower sprouts near Death. "Hahah, Death can't get me, Death can't get me, nyeeeeeeeeeehhhhh" it echoes in a very taunting voice, before exploding into darkness again. Another flower sprouts, and it echoes "NYEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DEATH IS WEEEEEEEAAAAAK" before exploding into darkness. All of a sudden, you feel my presence for a split second, and you (Aj) find that I've just cast a spell that causes several geysers to erupt, contributing to the torrential rain. Unfortunately I'm gone now. I cast a heal spell. I can see what's going on, but I'm still relatively far away.

 

Eras watches the events intently with a look of interest, though it doesn't look like he is completely focusing on the fight.

You could intervene you know.

I don't really see the need. Neither are really going to need help.

And if you find out that they might help you later?

I have failed. Nobody can help either of us now.

You keep saying that, but have you considered all possibilities?

I have. There are very few options, and the ones that exist all lead to the eventual death of at least one of us. To change events would destroy us all.

At least tell me who they were.

They should not exist. That is all I can tell you.

Why do you give up? You have never done that before.

Because... I need your help.

Ok, something IS very wrong.

 

You feel a darkness growing inside of you, sapping your magic and energy.

A small, dark spike forms in the palm of your right hand. Then another in your left hand. The spikes begin to shred through your skin...and your soul.

Eventually, dark spikes stab you from everywhere, causing extreme amounts of pain.

You feel yourself weakening even further. In addition to your magic and energy, the ever present sucking of life grows.

 

I somehow notice your presence, and you hear me sending a message. "Show that foolish Artemis that she made a mistake, and I shall serve you. I am currently going to perform some necromancy to self-destruct, but don't worry. You can find my soul near a cliff. You'll know when you get there."
OOC: Was gonna do telepathy, but that felt wrong. Now Count Drake is just using some weird magic to contact (Who he assumes) is a greater being.

Despite this, another flower sprouts, and this time it is right beside Death. It echos at full blast "NYEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHH DEATH IS USELESS DEATH CAN'T KILL ME DEATH IS STUPID NYEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHH" before exploding into darkness. I teleport to Death, and then smile. "Hah, you really think you can kill me? Very foolish, Artemis. Very foolish. You know I'm unkillable as long as I have a certain item of possesion." I pick up Leo's crystal, and then my eyes fade into a pure black. My whole being evaporates, leaving only Leo's crystal. It glows with energy.
"Huh? What's going on?" a faint echo comes from the crystal.
Despite me being presumably dead, the rain continues on. My sword and spear have disappeared as well.
"Did Count Drake just...kill himself? In satisfaction?!" Echoes the crystal, sounding very shocked.

 

Death somehow manages to summon my Watch of True Time, and sends Leo into an infinite abyss of pain and suffering, the crystal shattering instantly as soon as it shows any signs of revival.

Death summons your soul in front of her. "YOU CANNOT ESCAPE." She echoes.

You can't seem to move, or do anything for that matter. You're stuck staring into the eyeless sockets of Death.

 

And yet, my soul disappates. It seems I'm truly gone now. As my soul disappates into pure nothingness, you hear me whisper "Nyeeeeeehhhhhhhh"

 

And Death makes sure it never comes back. You're sealed away in nothingness, no magic can help you anymore. You are nothing.

You.

Are.

"DEAD."

The skies clear, the rainfall stopping entirely. Everything seems to go back to normal; yet Death and I retain our respective forms.

Abigail cuts through the wooden dome, she's completely revived; looking even healthier than normal.

"Whoa, how long was I in there for?" Abigail asks, "I had no idea it was Halloween already."

 

Serve me? You're just trying to stay alive. Funny the things people do to stay alive.

If you're referring to me, then... no, I'm not quite this strange. And no, I won't either.

But you feel a presence, different to the others. And far more powerful and tempting... and it seems to want to help you...

 

All of a sudden, you realize, that a small yellow flower is still there. "Never thought I'd be here, now did you?" says the flower. "Remember, I am undying, you naive little-Uhm, never mind what I was going to say. After all, a flower saying that? Hah!" I appear to be completely fine. It seems I was somehow able to fake my soul disappating as I transferred it to a small flower. "Look, I see I've beaten myself in combat, so I offer you all a truce. If the three of you will STOP BLOODY ACTIVELY KILLING ME WHILE I'M LEARNING THINGS, I'll leave you three alone and join Xlentia, so that the three of you are justified to kill me. You see? That's the problem you three have. You're assuming I want to kill the three of you on the spot. And remember, assuming makes an ass out of both you and me. Of course, I can always just side with someone else other than Xlentia. By the way, if you're going to ask who Xlentia is, let's just say I've been listening for a lot longer than you know." The flower suddenly morphs a face. It smiles, darkness behind its mouth and eyes.

"Well that was worth a shot. I'll tell you though. They won't ever destroy the item my soul is anchored on. As long as they don;t know what it is, I can always transfer my soul into a body." I attempt to identify the presence.

 

The three of us don't seem to notice you at all.

"Man, sure glad that guy's dead. I'd had enough of his annoying attitude." I say, turning back to my normal form.

Flesh seems to grow back onto Death's body, re-forming her into Artemis.

"Ughhhh, that was weird and creepy." Artemis says, shivering slightly.

"My only regret is I didn't get the chance to burn off that dooshs smug face. Though, he's completely voided now so I guess we don't have to worry about him." Abigail says.

I summon a carbonated drink in my hands and start sipping it, before summoning a bottle of hot sauce and passing it to Abigail.

A wooden hand grows next to Artemis and hands her a wooden cup, Nature Elixir contained within it.

"Note to self, don't do battle again for a while. My adrenaline is so high right now." I say, somewhat exhausted whilst sipping the drink.

"I'm glad I have this necklace," Artemis says, holding the crystal of her necklace, "It kept me stable as Death; I could probably never forgive myself if I'd hurt anyone else."

"You did good," Abigail says, sipping the hot sauce, "I'm sure your father would be proud of your use of powers."
