Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

It's harder than metal.
"Figured."

I extend a needle to poke it in the back of its mouth, but I then retract it.

 

The dragon glances up at you and releases your tail, curling up and going to sleep.

"Well... I guess we'll be taking him inside."

 

"Mind if I come in and look? That was a nice change of pace from fighting."

 

"Sure."

One of the mages cradles the dragon in their arms, and they walk inside following the rest of the mages.

 

I nod. "Oh, and where IS Ihra? I need to give her the gauntlet that Lyphu-I mean Luphyx wore. Just make sure she doesn't put it on. Something feels off about it."

 

I follow, glancing behind me as I enter.

"On my face."
"Right here. I'll give it a look. Come on."
She doesn't realize that handing it to her while she's on Rineth's snout makes her hard to reach.

 

I attempt to hand it to her, but my arms aren't long enough. I shake my head and grab some things from Sir Robert's bags and climb on top of them. I hand it to Ihra, before falling off the stack.

 

I walk over to Drake (that's you name now, right?) and help him up off the ground.

 

"Thank you, Uhm...may I ask what your name is?" I ask as I bruh off some dirt from my hat.

OOC: Well, it's a bit tricky. Technically his name is still Sir Robert, but he sort of "ascended" or whatever to Count Drake.

 

Abigail laughs at your misfortune, before trying to stifle her laughter noticing how loud it is.

 

OOC: So your name is Drake. I'm calling you Drake.

"I'm Thirteen. Nice to meet you."

 

She imbues it with light magic and a healing spell, hoping to get something out of it.

 

The tower is much bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. The walls are lined with shelves of books, unhatched eggs of varying sizes and colors, and odd glowing orbs.

 

My focus immediately turns to the eggs.
"Wow... it's practically a nursery. What kinds of dragons do you have in here?"

 

This somehow gets me cross, and I read out a spell from my book, causing the Fire Guardian to suddenly have a rain cloud above her. The rain cloud begins to rain.

"Greetings, Thirteen."

 

"It isn't all dragons, we also have a few pheonixes. But we have frost dragons" they gesture to an egg that looks as if it's made of ice, "Thundersparks," they gesture to an egg that's a mixture of yellows, occasionally bursting with energy, "Oblivionfangs," they gesture to an egg that looks pitch black, resembling a dark shadow "Emperor dragons," they gesture to a crimson egg with light swirls of gold dust on it, "Galemaws," they gesture to an egg with a cloudy surface, "...and the Venomknife dragon, like the one that just hatched. Rarely do eggs hatch right after they're summoned, so all of these eggs are simply in waiting. Our goal is to devise a ritual to summon every type of dragon."

I take out my rag and toss it to Abigail for her to wear on her head. I scowl at Drake.

 

This seems to cause Abigail a lot of pain. Some of the hair visible from under her helmet turns to an ash grey, as Abigail falls to her knees.

"Please...stop..." Abigail says weakly, the rain hissing on her skin. She looks at you with a desperate, weak expression.

"Abigail!" Artemis exclaims, getting up. Artemis raises her hands and a wooden dome forms around Abigail, sheilding her from the rain.

Abigail uses it to dry herself off, though rubbing the water seems to cause more pain.

I teleport over to Abigail, before taking off my cloak and wrapping it around her. Abigail shivers slightly, trying to take off her (now wet) helmet. I take it off for her and de-summon it, before covering Abigail's ash-grey hair with the hood of my cloak.

"What the hell is your problem!?" I say, glaring at Drake.

 

"Huh. Seems you know a decent amount about dragons... Do you know what kind Yhrey is?"

 

"What kind... Yhrey... No." The speaking mage looks a little embarrassed. "He's the only one of his kind we've ever seen."
