Best Way To Use Cancer? (you Know The Helmet, Not The Life-threatening Cell Mutation )

I am going for an Attack Speed build, and it seems Cancer is the best way to do this, but the reduction is damage is so drastic. What do you think the best way to neutralize Cancer's negative affect is?

Cancer is never a good way to boost attack speed.

 

Why? It gives a good boost, and anything other than Cancer takes 3 armor slots at least apposed to the single slot of Cancer
