Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Alright; I could probably check to see if the soul's inside of her too if I have suspicion." I think, "Rather malicious soul for her to get given, is she usually unlucky?"

 

She's occupied with a cookie.
Riihs rolls his eyes.

 

She isn't really unlucky. Then again, for the first year of her life she was protected inside a kingdom which was very well defended, then she's spent the rest of her life, until now, under Eras' protection in his Void Palace. For a soul to be a reflection, it has to be the nearest soul to the user of Soul Magic which is willing to be a reflection. Which means that it was quite likely that the soul wanted to be in that position for something like revenge, unless she really was unlucky.

 

I appear next to Ihra.

"Hey Ihra, can you charge Abigail with some magic? She said she'd bake you some more cookies if you do." I ask.

"Do you know who the soul might be? Or is it an unknown figure out for revenge from beyond the grave?" I ask.

 

Sadly, nobody has any idea. Any attempt to contact it doesn't end well. All we know is that it is powerful... likely too powerful to be human.

 

"I'd consider it a Shadow, but I'm pretty sure you don't have them here," I think, "Either way, I'm more powerful than it is by a long shot; just from looks alone I can tell that."

I pause for a moment.

"Though, I high tier Shadow probably would be on equal terms with it."

 

Wait what... this part of the mountain range is gone- oh, whoops! Stray thoughts... trust that one being who picks stray thoughts off everyone to keep his own to himself... uhh... nevermind. And maybe, though I can't say I know much about Shadows.

 

"Well, a few of the behaviours seem to match," I think, "The eye glow, as well as the malicious nature, match both parties."

"I can't say for certain, since most Shadows are more useful as alive beings rather than souls, but you never know." I think.

 

Abigail starts glowing.

 

I appear next to Abigail, before disappearing with her. We reappear a short distance away.

A large blast of fire erupts from around Abigail, before expanding outwards. The fire clears, and a large, red dragon (about half the size of Rineth) is left in it's wake.

Abigail picks me up in one of her claws, flies up a little and tail whips me to the ground. I go flying to the floor at an extremely fast speed, bouncing past Ihra and Rineth.

I disappear, and appear atop Abigail. I start slashing at her back. Abigail blasts me away with a large jet of fire.

I land on my feet this time, and start sprinting towards Abigail. Abigail begins to shoot fireballs at me, which I deftly dodge. I manage to hit one of them back, which stuns Abigail momentarily.

I jump over Abigail's tail, and aim straight for her neck. I land on Abigail's neck and rest Shadow Katana's blade.

"Looks like I win round 2, Abigail." I say triumphantly, sliding off of Abigail and walking back to the group.

Abigail roars in annoyance, before following me; keeping her form.

 

Ihra's distracted from her box.
Rineth watches the fight, but seems unmoved.
Xephyr looks a bit wary of Abigail.

 

"Told you I'd win." I say, walking over to Artemis and the others.

"What did you think of that, IhraaaAAAAAH!" I scream as Abigail picks me up with her teeth, before throwing me up and catching me in her mouth.

"I win." Abigail says triumphantly.

Faint screaming can be heard from within Abigail, "Was that really necessary?" Artemis asks, slightly annoyed, looking up at Abigail.

"He was just going to boast about it, I think he deserves it." Abigail says, giving a sharp-toothed smile.

 

"Fire, huh? Ihra, you make interesting friends..."
The air around Xephyr gets colder.
"Well... I guess she's a friend. For the most part."

 

Abigail's scales begin to radiate heat, warming the area around her.

"I like being a dragon; it's so rare I get enough magic to transform these days." Abigail says, relaxing slightly.

Artemis seems a little annoyed, "If you could spit Aj out, that would be nice..." She says.

"So he can boast about how he really won and that I cheated? No thanks." Abigail says, resting her head on the ground.

Artemis glares at Abigail. Abigail doesn't seem to care.

 

"Of course. That first roar was a hello, by the way. Very. Loudly."

 

"Couldn't he just cut his way out of you?"

"I figured... Is the wound Ihra healed still together?"

 

"Asking..."

After a second, Yhrey lifts his wing to show the wound, only noticeable from the missing scales there. Yhrey nods.

 

"That's a relief. Tell him I'm sorry I scared him, and Ihra didn't mean to either."
I pause.
"Hold on, you said you two went to the forest together? That rider..."

 

"He could, but he knows it would probably kill me. I don't think he can deal with more deaths of his friends." Abigail says.

"I think you've tortured him enough, Abigail." Artemis says, annoyed.

"Oh please, he'll just be annoying." Abigail says, looking at Artemis.

"Except for the fact I'm in love with him and I'd rather you not digest him." Artemis responds.

"I'm not going to digest him; besides, he's a shadow, he's immune to acid and stuff." Abigail says calmly.

Faint screaming can still be heard from within Abigail.

 

"He's not immune to acid. Ihra spit on him. It caused problems."
