Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I bite onto the vines, and then, all of a sudden, a dark beam bursts from my left hand, and after a few seconds, it stops.
"Quickly now, Leo! Tell me what I'm aiming at!" I shout through the vines.
"Yes, Sir! You're aiming upwards!"
I adjust my hand.
"You're aiming at the ground now!"
I adjust my hand more.
"You're aiming at the shadow thing!"
"That's...mhmf...perfect!" A dark beam shoots out from my hand.

 

The dark beam hits me, though it seems to have no other effect than just darkening the area around me.

You feel searing pain in your left leg now. An unfamiliar, dark voice laughs evilly.

"Did somebody say marshmallow pie?" Another voice says. Abigail and I keep laughing, completely oblivious to what's happening.

 

"What effect did it have?" I manage to say through the vines.
"Nothing, Count Drake."
"Tell me where I'm aiming"
I adjust my hand.
"You're aiming at the woman."
I adjust my hand more.
"You're aiming at the Fire Guardian."
"Good" Then, another dark beam blasts from my hand.

 

You hear a slapping sound, "Hey! That wasn't me!"

"Yeah, sure it wasn't. Hey Artemis, did Aj just hit me?"

No response.

"Uh, ok. I'm just gonna keep watching these cartoons."

"Holy pug in a pizza box!" Another voice says. Abigail and I begin laughing again.

 

"It has the-mhmf-intended effect" I continue to fire blasts of dark beams at the Fire Guardian.
"Leo, keep the woman busy-mhmf"
"Uh, alright. Uhm...hello, my name is Leo"

 

You suddenly feel a great force hit you.

"I said it wasn't me! It's Rob, or Count Dracula or whatever his name is!" I say, "Artemis, surely you saw?"

"I can confirm that Count Drake was the one doing it." Artemis says in an oddly sweet voice.

"Oh, well tell him to stop." Abigail says.

"You two go back to watching your cartoons, I'll tell him to stop!" Artemis says in a slightly hypnotic voice.

You hear the sound of footsteps walking away from you.

 

I grab a sharp stone from the ground and cut the vines on my mouth with it.
"Leo, am I still aiming at the Fire Guardian?"
"Uhm, yes."
"Good" I fire more dark blasts.

 

"Dude, would you freaking stop with the blasts already!?" I say, frustrated.

"I swear to god I'm going cremate that mothertrucker if he doesn't stop." Abigail says, clearly enraged.

 

"I'm still impaled here to the ground. I won't be able to get up for an attack. Ugh" I say, tugging on the vines around my eyes. "This is terrifying risky." I grab another stone, and cut the sides of the vines that cover my eyes.

 

"Artemis is this another one of your weird fantasies you're trying to live out?" Abigail says, confused, staring at Count Drake.

"Haha, no, no. My, you two look tired. Maybe you should get some rest." Artemis says in a hypnotic tone.

"I don't really feel too-" Artemis clicks her fingers; Abigail and I fall to the ground, unconscious.

"At least we won't be interrupted by them anymore." Artemis says with a slightly more corrupt tone, turning to Count Drake with an evil smile.

 

Artemis' vision suddenly goes dark.
Teeth wrap around Artemis' neck.
"Now now, hon... Now isn't the time for this..."
Rineth whispers entrancingly.
His breath makes her extremely tired.

A black tail moves to cut some of the vines around your face.

Able to see, you see Artemis half in Rineth's mouth.

 

Artemis tries to not be intimidated.

"I'm doing what's right...let me...go." Artemis says, getting exhausted.

 

Icicle runs in front of you.
"Can we go somewhere new today?"

"Killing everyone isn't right. There may be something off about him, but the same can be said about you and AJ, even Abigail. We didn't off you, did we?"
Rineth releases Artemis, putting his head between her and Sir Robert/Count Drake

 

"He...stole a...body though..." Artemis says, trying to stay conscious, "It's not right...for him to do that...it was for his...own gain."

Artemis' necklace glows, seeming to give her energy.

 

"This is not your world... you cannot act like you are a preserver of it as you can your own. Ihra doesn't know better, but the others know that. Neither of us belong here; arguably this is borrowed time."

 

"That doesn't give him the right to steal someone's body like that though!" Artemis protests, "He stole a body for his own gain, what about it's owner? Doesn't he rightfully deserve the body?"

 

"Are you sure? The prisoner wasn't going anywhere for most of their life. They get to see the world. Furthermore, again, this isn't your world. You are not a guardian of life here; you are like us. Respect that this isn't your world, or you'll find yourself dying here or exiled."

 

Artemis crosses her arms, looking away. She seems defeated.

 

"Thats right. Count Drake essentially did break me out of prison."
I look at the dragon. "Thank you, Uhm...never mind the name." I attempt to get up, but then remember there's still a bamboo through my right hand.
"Well, my medics are certainly going to have a rough time with this." I grab another sharp stone from the ground and cut away any more excess vines around my body.
"This is really low of me to use rocks."

OOC: I'll further explain how Count Drake used "necromancy" in the report soon

 

"Come on, don't be like Abigail. I just want all of us going home after this is all over. In one piece."
He pauses.
"Look, I'm sorry, but it's not something we can ignore."
