Need Technical Help- Changing Profile Pic

I posted here for a question about forum profile page but not sure if this is right place....

I see my profile pic sometimes has my minecraft skin face , and sometimes it is generic Steve face. Why does it change?

How do I change the pic? I have seen members update their pic all the time? I went to member profile, pressed on my default pic, and a window pops up, it says "upload file" where you can choose from photo library (i have snapped using my iphone) or iCloud (coz im on ipad apple devices). But when i chose a pic to test, (and these are not downsized but full file size from taking photographs), it shows up tiny next to the right of the "upload", and when i press "ok", nothing happens. The pic on far left (showing current profile picture) has not changed to new one chosen.

 

The picture has to be less than 50KB, are you getting any error messages? If not, try checking the box that says "Delete current avatar" when you upload a picture. Also the whole Minecraft skin/Steve skin thing is probably due to glitches with the skin database, it happens all the time.

 

Thank you. Do u know howto downsize a photo file while on iphone photo library, or is the downsizing occurring within Avatar editor?

 

Not sure how to do it on Iphone, but if you open up any image editor on your computer you should be able to scale it down.
