Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Is it too late to tell you he killed me after I tried to help a friend? In front of Artemis, no less." I tell the green figure, grinning.

The green aura begins to shrink a little as the green figure closes his hand a little.

"And he purposely zapped Aj after he'd helped Artemis...in a sense." Abigail adds.

"You certainly have made a name for yourself, haven't you?" The green figure says, closing the aura in a little more.

 

I look even more furious that my body is withering, and with all my strength, I raise my sword, and yell "EVERYONE WILL DIE!" Before spitting on the ground and falling to the ground. However, I am not unconscious. With as much of my strength as much as possible, I yell out, this time for some reason, not in my demon voice an indescribable phrase, and trying as hard as possible, I grab my sword, and thrust it into my side. As blood starts to drip from my side, I begin laughing.

 

The projection is slowly becoming more and more solid, absorbing the light from around.
It gestures to Aj, then to the ground, then starts to list things on its fingers. It then raises its eyebrows, offended, and folds its arms. It turns away and pouts.

 

The green figure holds his hand out, looking at Rob.

I summon a dull looking crystal in my hand and pass it to him.

The green figure rips Rob's soul from his body, placing it inside the crystal.

I look rather shocked, "Whoa! You can do that!?"

"Artie can too, but she'll need practise." The green figure says, smiling at Artemis. Artemis seems rather happy.

"You get any of that?" Abigail asks me.

"Nope." I reply.

 

The projection cautiously inches away from the group, attempting to get as far away as possible from Rob.

 

The green aura keeps you trapped, it seems to be impassible. The green figure glares at you.

 

The projection looks at the crystal, then sticks its fingers in its ears, tensing up as if the crystal were about to explode...

 

The green figure gives you a disappointed look. The crystal has a slight green glow around it.

 

The body all of a sudden rises up from the ground, smiling. "Perfect. Just what I needed." The body pulls out the sword from its side, and then starts laughing, though the laughing sounds empty. From the crystal, you can hear two voices, one laughing maniacly, and one shouting to put the soul back in the body before things get out of hand. The body has no pupils, only darkness in its eyes. It moves in an almost robotic matter, and grabbing its sword, it says "Fine piece of equipment I *ahem* was given" The body makes a smile, and a part of its skin starts to melt off. "Oh no...my skin is melting...hah hah hah"

OOC: Before you say anything, my character casted a spell right before he stabbed himself. The demon part of my soul is the one laughing, while the human part is warning. I'd obey the laughing one, personally.

 

The green figure raises his hand once more, barely even flinching.

Your entire body withers away into nothing.

"I might have cured you of your demonic side, not anymore." The green figure says, staring at the soul crystal.

"If his body's gone, how's he going to come back?" I ask the green figure.

"I'll put him in a wooden body. Apt punishment for what he's done." The green figure says, before turning to Abigail and Artemis.

"I'm trusting you two to discipline him as you feel necessary." The green figure says.

 

The projection is now solid enough to speak.
"And that is why you should've listened to the light wizard. Bye now!"

The projection ceases to be, the energy used to create it dissipating into the nearby area.

 

I shout out "Hah! Wooden body? Hah! Abigail, burn the body. I do not care how you do it. Burn my wooden body! Hah! Besides, if one was to clear me of my demonic side, then one would destroy me. It is not merely a part of my soul, its a part of my entire being. It would be like cutting me in half, throwing one half away, and telling the other half that everything's going to be fine, before that half proceeds to die. If I could, I would sp-" I am cut short by something, followed by screaming. "Ha-I do n----------for m----st----I ref----no-----ha-----" my voice is extremely distorted, and it stops after a long pause. The crystal starts to shake violently.

OOC: The reason this took so long was because I was tryinng to get WingDings to work. Unfortunately, it didn't, so I had to compromise.

 

"Who thinks I should kill this guy for good?" The green figure says.

"Kill!" I say, my eyes flashing red.

"I mean, he did try and kill me..." Abigail says.

"Please don't, father." Artemis says, looking up at the green figure.

"You're lucky Artemis wants you alive." The green figure says, forming a wooden body reminiscent of Rob.

The green figure slots the soul crystal in the back of the wooden body; keeping the demonic side. A wooden cover slides over the crystal, and thorns grow over it.

The wooden body jolts to life.

 

I start screaming with complete pain, before falling to the ground, part unconscious, part dead, part furious, and part confused. "HasapasdpadwhdwhatsadiowaasdowapredicamentiosadhansdI'miwhdaauin." My voice is heavily distorted, and hard to understand. I stand up, and walk towards my sword lying on the ground, occasionally falling, but getting up again. I grab my sword, and then start to walk in a random direction, laughing. As soon as I'm sure I've disappeared into the view of everyone, I stop walking.

I call out into the light. "Luphyx, hear me. I'm in an unusual predicament, and I need you to do me a favor."

 

You're not sure what the cause is, but...
The gauntlet... it calls to your soul!

It would be so easy to just walk over there, and put on the gauntlet. All that remains of tree-through-chest is a bit of blood, the gauntlet is ripe for the taking!

 

"What's up with him?" I ask.

"It can be very hard adapting to a wooden body, everything is different." The green figure says.

"Unsurprisingly, I trust him even less. I don't think we should let him out of our sight for long." Abigail says.

"He's asking that mage friend of his for help." The green figure says, his eyes glowing greener than before.

 

The allure of the gauntlet affects this merry band as well, albeit to a lesser extent since they aren't insane.

 

A blinding flash, a wall of every type of magic.

You're all paralyzed.
"STOP!" Ihra yells.

Her glowing silhouette is visible through the fog. She seems to be levitating.
"I... I know what my mother said. And you're being ridiculous. In fact... Artemis, thank you for giving me a last moment with her..."
The fog drops. All distortions clear. Every weapon is completely immoble.
"...thanks to you?"
"...the fool doesn't know how to let go."

Vei appears in front of you all. She opens an unclenched fist, and your weapons stop being as disabled.
"Now, turn on my daughter and Rineth and I will let you have it."
"Turn on each other and I'll put walls up between you all."

 

I walk over to the gauntlet, and lean down in an attempt to pick it up, but then I laugh. "Did you really think you could tempt me? Anyways, Luphyx, I need to borrow a boon from you. I am not taking that gauntlet unless you tell me to, even if it is torturingly tempting" I say to the light around me.

I look curiously at them, before saying "Look. I may have gone into a murdering rampage had I not been restricted, but trust me Vei. I swore to your husband that I would not kill Ihra, and I would keep that promise. I would've simply ran away to stop myself from being tempted to kill her. I can't speak over for that group over there" I gesture to Aj and the others, a look of disgust and anger on my face.

 

My presence is gone, all that remains is the gauntlet...
