Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis seems to blink out of the trance she was in, and, shakily, lowers her aim to below Rob; yet keeps her eyes on his crossbow.

Abigail switches her vision between Artemis and Rob, ready to strike if either moves.

"Wh...What are you h-hiding?" Artemis says, eyes focused on the crossbow.

 

I wince.
"Could you put that thing down? You aren't even close to pointing it at Artemis."
I turn to you, amused.
"What you see is not what is around you. I've twisted what you see, as I have for Artemis."
Your surroundings seem to quiver and shake, if only for a moment. The sight is incredibly nauseating, and you fall to one knee.

 

Artemis' eyes begin to glow green faintly before she looks around, confused.

"What...?" She says in confusion, looking over at Rob, then Luphyx.

 

"Much better." I lower my crossbow. "Try that again, and maybe under different circumstances this could've ended another way." I gesture to my sword.

"What?! You-" I stop myself from finishing my sentence. "Why did you do that?" I put away my crossbow. I then start shaking my head. "Turn it back to reality."

 

Artemis signals to Abigail. Abigail opens the wheels of crystals on both guantlets, switching through multiple empty sockets before reaching dark purple ones; they seem to create some sort of distortion around them. Abigail closes the wheels, and her guantlets turn a dark purple.

Artemis doesn't remove the arrow, yet she loosens the bow a little, "What are you hiding?" She says, focusing her vision directly on Rob.

 

"You know, it certainly is a fine day today. Afterwards, maybe we can have a sit down and have some tea, how does that sound?" I smile at Artemis.

 

I fly down beside her.
"No, it isn't dead... not quite anyway."
The wyvern is lying on the ground, wings, legs and tail spread out. The wyvern has fallen unconscious but it doesn't seem to be dead.
"They are very good at landing. They plunge straight down if they have no energy left to get low enough to do something like that safely. The moment they hit the ground, they start running. As they would be running very fast, eventually they would stumble and fall and knock themselves out. Of course, they can't always get this right..."
The wyvern's wings are badly torn. But also...

Hythania shouts, "No!"

...the wyvern's tail was cut off in the landing by a sharp rock on landing.

 

Two sets of 3 claw blades are suddenly blocking your vision.

"Answer the question and you'll save 95% of your face." Abigail says from behind, holding the claws against your face.

 

"Ah, what quite the predicament I'm in. Oh woe is me!" Upon uttering that last phrase, my voice changes slightly. I clear my throat before continuing. "Oh, what a very large shame it is that the both of you aren't prepared for a frenzied attack...oops! Oh no, I gave away my plans!" My tone is filled with condescendence and sarcasm. "Looks like I'll have to tell the truth now" All sarcasm and condescendence drain from my voice. "You see, I have a very, very, VERY severe case of a multiple personality disorder. One might actually call me insane if one was to stretch it that far. Sad, innit? Luckily I was able to get people to stop calling me insane by decided to build a stronghold on that hill and starting an elite sect of knights to guard it. All in the span of 10 years. Impressive, if I do say so myself. Of course, people still call me insane, but I've built up quite the reputation and most people just take that as slander."

OOC: The voice at the "Oh woe is me!" is meant to be similar to Bill Cipher's voice, but deeper and less obvious.

 

Abigail swiftly slices two sides of your face with her claws; they leave scars, which seem to distort the magic around them.

"Next time I won't just scar you." She says with an annoyed tone.

OOC: :D

 

I feel the scars, and I smile. "I've gotten worse from doing normal activities," I turn to Abigail. "Now, when Mr. Luphyx decides to stop altering reality, I think I'll make some tea. Mind if I borrow some fire later?"

 

Abigail glares at you.

She also glares at you from the left, and the right. She seems to distort, and multiple Abigails appear and disappear around you.

"How about we have a barbecue, where we roast your flesh off your still living body." Abigail's voice echoes.

 

"Sure." I then draw my sword. "Do you want me to start cutting myself up already?" I sound dead serious. Then the seriousness in my voice drops. "Or perphaps you'd like to continue fazing in and out of my distorted view."

 

"I'm not using any light tricks." Abigail says.

Multiple scars begin to appear on your face.

"I'm using my own magic."

Abigail appears in front of you, claw held right next to your left eye.

"Your move; pick it carefully." Abigail says with evil in her voice.

 

"Of course you aren't. Lyphus or whatever his name was is still hallucinating me. Besides, if this were reality I wouldn't mind it if you blinded my left eye or whatever." It seems as though I've given up caring. "Then again, you could always play the antagonist and I can heroically smite you. Hah." I sound really apathetic, but then my face turns serious. "Though if you'd like to kill me, let me remind you who has something that you are weak against."

 

"Bad move choice; trying to talk. For that, you're going blind." Abigail says.

Abigail draws back her claw, before swinging it toward you. Before it hits, a large tree grows and blocks its path.

A dense forest begins to grow around Abigail, she shifts her attention away from Rob for a moment.

Arrows begin to bury themselves in the ground around Abigail and Rob. Abigail begins blocking some of them with her claws.

 

I draw my sword and block arrows as well, as fast as possible. "You know, now would be the perfect time for me to stab you. Shame Artemis and the others would kill me for that, even if you do survive. Besides, I have a reputation to keep. Though it would be fun to see what my sword's effects on you are."

OOC: Just in case you don't remember, my sword is made of pure ice. And yes, it is virtually indestructible because of some magic from a guy in a portal.

 

Abigail turns to you, "I'd like to see you tr-" an arrow pierces Abigail's neck. She falls to the floor, paralysed and unconscious.

OOC: Was the guy in the portal the same guy who gave you the Bill Cipher voice (and yellow and triangular)?

 

"Oh looky, how sad." I keep my sword drawn in case anymore arrows fly towards me. "Is anyone still gonna try to kill me? That's like, what, the third time already today?"

OOC: Nah, the voice is just a natural thing cause Rob's half demon.

 

The arrows stop; however the forest stays. A figure darts between the trees.

Abigail simply lies there.
