Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Ah, very well. Thank you for guarding me" I stand up. "I'm prepared to start walking. Meditating takes a toll on my legs."

 

"How do you feel her life force? Is that an ability all draconians have?"

 

"Honestly, I just got here. Rineth and I dropped you off near the walls and then went chasing after another one of our foes. Albeit to no avail, no harm came to either of us."

"Fragments only. We can sense each other's presence... if we're alive. We cannot tell exact location, but it's enough to know whether they're still alive. We can tell if they're healthy or wounded, but that's it. She seems to be okay..."

 

"It's fine. For all we know something could have jumped me if you didn't arrive at the last minute. Oh, and by the way, might I ask, for how long was I meditating? I seem to have lost track of time again like last time."

 

"You'd have to ask my wife, and I doubt she'd give you a straight answer on that."

 

"That sounds similar to my ability to sense dark presences. Anyway, we should try to follow the tail mark west. Hopefully they won't already have moved on."

 

"Ah, and why is that?"

 

"Of course. Knowing Ihra, she'll probably sleep until we get there."

"We all have 'elements,' per se. Mine is called Volt, and it allows me to manipulate electricity. Ihra is a Sage draconian, and she has extreme regenerative abilities for herself and others... at a steep cost of being quite frail.

My wife? Is a Chrono. She can bend time - even when she's unarmed."

 

"I see. That explains a lot, especially when I electrocuted myself"

OOC: Are we walking to the place where the others are or not

 

"Or more likely, Ihra will still be sleeping after we get there."
Hythania says, "If a fight happens before she awakes, that might not be good for her. The sound of a wyvern breathing fireballs is quite loud."

 

OOC: I was assuming.

"Yeah... I don't have a lot going for me. True sight and immunity to electricity... that's enough for me. With her? Well, she doesn't have an issue with fighting."

"She's slept through rolling into an electric fence. Don't ask."

You fly for a (really) long time, but it feels like Brisingr takes forever to cross. (And it does)

 

"I can make a guess why." I am about to state my guess, by then I shake my head. "Ah, I know better."

OOC: I was also assuming that we were walking towards them

 

"I wouldn't be surprised I guess. With the amount of time she's slept... well, that's a lot of time."

 

"I don't mind input. It'd be a way to kill time."

"Heh, she's tuckered herself out so much... I kind of feel bad. She probably hasn't been awake most of her life."

 

"Very well. I'm guessing your wife can make her opponent just...stop moving"

 

I continue flying for a bit.
Hythania suddenly says, "We need to rest for a bit. Wyverns, while they are very good at flying, can't fly forever."
"How much longer can he fly for?"
There is a brief pause.
"Only for-"
The wyvern has a sudden drop in altitude. It is obvious that it is growing tired, as its wings are straining to stay open.
"In that case, we have to land now. Hythania, how many times have you flown on a wyvern?"
"Actually, I never found time to do so."
"Oh *wyvern screech due to wings straining*, you have no idea what's going to happen next."
As I say that, the wyvern drops in altitude again.

 

"Pfft, whatever." Abigail says. She seems to show a few signs of guilt.

Artemis puts a hand to her head, a green glow surrounding it. She looks over at Abigail; and after a short moment, lowers her hand again.

Artemis sidles over to Vei, "She's sorry for what she did. Abigail feels bad about it." She whispers.

"Well, maybe you could do a quick calculation for me," I say, "What's 0 divided by 0?"

"The next sentence is false. The previous sentence is true." I say, grinning.

I subconsciously reach up to my head and try to pull something from it; only to realise there's nothing there. I seem a little confused.

 

I have named it Icicle. "Come here!" I shout to it. I lead it outside, for a walk in the open.

 

"Well, I was sort of an accident and a- hey wait what you were?!"

 

With a quick retort, I say,
"Anything divided by zero is an impossibility. Including zero. You can't put something into no groups, even if that something happens to be nothing, because really, nothing is nothing, but if you had no marbles, you can't put no marbles in no groups. Those no marbles will always be no marbles, and dividing those no marbles into zero groups would erase the marbles's existence as a thought in the equation, therefore making the equation itself an impossibility."

"Also, those two sentences create a sort of paradox. There is no correct way to interpret those two lines. They constantly cancel each other out when you try to figure out what they mean. But really, the statements have no meaning. They only address each other, and have no real purpose. It's a useless endeavor trying to figure out what they mean because you would only get a short surge of natural dopamine once you did it, but really, you won't get that short surge because eventually you'll figure out that is useless trying to figure it out."
