Ah yes, the smell of angry children in the morning. You guys know it was nerfed to be balanced right? Games require balance, and the Mage was Op. As a mage I can accept this. This isn't even a nerf to the mage, it's a bug fix that affects all classes.

This comment is dumb, mages understood what pain meant way longer than assassins. You're so biased.

Assassin - NOT even weak for 3 months, it was really good
Mage - Weaker than every class for 2.5 years.

 

Don't try to make it seem so much better. I agree that mage had it worse for longer, but saying assassin was 'really good' is just complete BS. So many bugs, problems, unbalanced issues, etc... hardly 'good.'

 

So this is why my meteor did 2k damage...

 

I don't understand where you are coming from with this comment that "saying assassin was 'really good' is just complete BS." My Lv75 assassin could kill CoW and Bob with ease, before Gavel came out. I walked it through ToA, and just left Death alone, because I was killing everything, with ease. My other classes? No way. My Lv75 mage couldn't even get past ToA floor 6, room 1. Where do you get this comment that assassin was anything less than the ultimate boss-killing class? It was designed that way, at the outset, as it was the reward to VIPs who took all three of their other classes up to a high enough level. What bugs? What problems? Balance? Who cared? It could kill anything in the game.

 

Wtf my 68 lvl mage got to 6.10 floor how is it even possible you couldnt finish normal lvl?

 

Maj was saying it was 'really good' after the nerf. I'm saying it wasn't. There were a ton of assassin bugs when gavel came out. That's it.

 

That's your opinion. I was still really good with assassin & hadn't lost a single duel or to any boss. Yes there were a lot of bugs when Gavel first came out but once they were fixed assassin was good.

 

Yay. First I have an Earth/Fire build with lifesteal on my warrior. Lifesteal gets nerfed beyond recognition. I switch to Thunder/Water build to make myself somewhat useful, and nerf hammer again. 10/10 would spend another ton of LE on equips that will be useless after next patch. Its not like my warrior did more damage than other classes anyway *cough cough*.

All being the whole reason I barely play anymore. The little bit of fun that is left gets systematically taken away.

 

That's called bad luck, just wait for powders, those will make us strong again.

Go for the reqs for the equipment and then go as much as possible into water with some in air.

Alright, I just came across this and it is nothing but uninformed butthurt.

First off, Salted was unaware that this was happening. It was a simple mistake in the calculations that he overlooked and was unaware would become massively overpowered.

Secondly, it was fixed essentially the day it was found. The process essentially went like this:

Content Team: "Hey Salted, something seems really OP."
Salted: "Oh, okay what is it?"
CT: "Look at what raw spell damage can do."
Salted: "Hm, yeah, that seems kinda op, lemme test for myself real fast and make sure it isn't just the items."
-a few minutes of testing later-
Salted: "Oh wow that really is overpowered, I'll fix that."
-a few minutes later-
Salted: "Okay, fixed. We'll put this to the main servers in a little bit. Prep for the shitstorm"
CT: "Okay, thanks."

Unlike massive undertakings such as the powder system, or huge bigfixes like the skill points glitch and whatnot, this took all of five minutes to fix. It did not take time away from the big things, and it did not make Mage a useless, shitty class like you are saying. What it did was it brought that ridiculously overpowered build back down to the realm of "Yeah, this is a pretty good build." from the lofty heights of "Don't even bother with other builds because this wrecks everything."
