Guide New Guide For Mage!

Due to the recent changes raw spell dmg is basically useless now so now I'm gonna show you a new build because it relies on the spell dmg % amplifier! So here it is there is a little raw spell dmg in it because why not !

Helm: Spectre 39% spell dmg (LVL 65)
Chestplate: Aquarius(mana+% dmg)
Leggings: Clock Legs (40% and 35%)
Boots: Memento (Mana + Raw and % spell dmg)
Weapon: Pure 400%-520%
Alt: Antipode or Ethereal or bob's
Rings: Moon pool circlet & Coral Ring (both from hive water shop)
Alt: Detective Ring from quest murder mystery
Bracelet: Tidal (mana steal + Intel)
Necklace: Royal Stormy Amulet
Alt: Willpower or Lapis Necklace

Min lvl to use this = 95 for Aquarius your alt could be a soul signal or a millennium but the Aquarius is the best

ALTS
Helm: Spectre (Pretty common)
Chest: Millenium/Soul Signal/DreamCloud
Pants: Crystal OR Sagittarius
Boots: Boota of Blue Stone
Weapon: Ethereal/Antipode
Accessories: Jester Set + Raindrop
These Alts don't seem new but be assured if you can't afford to spend your time grinding or questing for LE/Actual Items these are the best options

Legs: Sagittarius (Melee and spell)
Boots: Memento/Boots of blue stone
Rings: Jester Ring + Concentration
Bracelet: Jester Bracelet
Necklace: Jester Necklace

Skill points
Strength: 8
Dexterity: 8/40
Intelligence: 75
Defense: 8
Agility: 8
40 dex for soul signal
8 for all for boots of blue stone and jester bracelet

ALTS
Helm: Blue Mask for stats
Chestplate: Millenium
Legs: Clock Legs
Boots: Memento/boots of blue stone<--- Required
Accessories: jesters and raindrop

Skill points
Strength: 8
Dexterity: 8/50
Intelligence: 50
Defense: 8/48
Agility: 8/50

 

You would be surprised at how much use Raw spell damage still has. Just because it is no longer sending damage to the 10000's does not mean it has lost all utility.

Well, yours seems to be focusing on % spell damage rather than raw, so I would suggest creating different builds to focus them until the effects of their mixing is properly recorded.

 

Adding some new ingredients to the mix

 

You know, it would be cool if you created 2 builds. One for Percent. One for Raw. I don't think some people realize how strong spell damage is still... yeah you may not be dealing 20k damage anymore, but not all is lost. You still deal a lot of damage compared to some other classes. This is just my opinion though.... I might start going for this build because I was already kinda predicting raw damage would get a little nerfed. :P

u may want to get a little more def cuz heal take quite a bit of mana

 

With 559 raw spell damage you still can deal tonnes of damage, and one hit kill most mobs. But it relies a lot on elemental damage now...

Basically you will only deal 559 damage to Qira per any spell...

 

And with 400% spell damage you will deal 400 damage with that spell.

Doesn't seem so useless now, hm?

 

Never stated it was useless? Lol..

Also I'm not complaining about Mage because I actually loved the patch. Working on my own custom build currently :3
