    Alright, this is gonna be a special one. We only changed one thing in this patch, but it is quite major.

    Bug Fix:
    - Fixed a bug with raw spell damage ID allowing spells to deal insane amount of damage


    If you care to know why we did it or how it happened, keep reading.


    I know a few of you guys have builds based around this exact bug.
    So it used to work like this: The raw spell damage gets added, then the spell damage multiplier gets added, and then the attack speed multiplier gets added. It gives us a big problem though, raw spell damage could be multiplied almost 10 times (depending on your weapon) because of this, here's an example:

    Imagine a player dealing 10 damage, 2 times a second. Its spell has a damage multiplier of 200% (2x) and he has 5 raw spell damage. The formula would go something like this:

    (10+5)*DPS*spellMultiplier
    (10+5)*2*2 = 60

    And now, it will go like this:
    (10*DPS*spellMultiplier)+5
    (10*2*2)+5 = 45

    Now, it doesn't look that dramatic in this example, but the more raw spell damage you got, the higher it went. It allowed some people to deal close to 20k damage with a single spell.


    Why are you fixing this? This completely screw up my game breaking build!

    Well because it's game breaking. It made water builds with fast weapons overly powerful. I know you guys like being able to solo Qira by spamming meteore at her for 10 seconds, but having 1 type of build with this strength is not fun. We want the player to be able to go with any elements and build they want and still be viable, this prevented that.

    You might be angry about this change and it's understandable, which is why I tried to be as transparent as possible in this patch note. Hopefully you guys can understand why we did this and still enjoy the game without wrecking everything with your spells. <3

    The changes should be on every server within 1-2h of this post.

    I'm interested to see how this goes, will Qira might actually be a "challenge" now? Will not every build be based around spell damage?

    Thank god. I honestly thought it was the second way first. For once, Broe was wrong. Hey, at least this means I actually have a chance with my Alka warrior.

    EDIT: I got Cerid's Dynamo's Meteor figured out, for you who use it. For reference, I'm pretty sure that this was calced assuming you had near perfect spell damage endgame. Ask Broettinger for more, I'm just posting here. I just pushed the numbers into a calculator, to be honest. Anyways, this is the result of calcing the Cerid's Dynamo Meteor.

    It used to be 17280.

    It is now 1380.

    If someone can get me Pure's stats, I'll calc out the difference to see how badly your build got nerfed. Although, due to its use of %, it's likely not nerfed by much.
