Ok this is 100% from @SPYROHAWK. I think i might have solved something.

Ok so in the bovinast church, we can see a enderman head. We also know about the eye in dern. Lets say these ancients were humans or villagers. They say they were becoming corrupted. Lets think about this, the eye, endeman. I think you get the reference. They were trying to escape. Ender eyes are used for a end portal. The eye? Ender eyes? This would possibly lead to the enderdragon. The enderdragon is the eye watching us. This power that drove them insane? The corruption is coming and they were turning. The magic they used could've dealt with the end portal, used to escape. They got infected with a ender plauge or something that was turning them. Him in their head? The enderdragon? The enderdragon's plauge turned them to enderman. The bovinast church may not be what they seem. What if they worship the enderdragon? What if they are the cultists of dern? What if dern is full of enderman and ender villagers? Im almost positive the eye is related to the enderdragon. The enderdragon may be like a new boss fight, kind of like bob. This clicked while reading ancient articles.

I mean, the Ender Dragon is confirmed to have existed at some point, but there's nothing relating it to Corruption. If you mean corruption as in turning them into Endermen, how does that explain the peaceful Ancients?

 

If u remember some hidden ancients dialouge, forget where its at, it says, some died, some changed, and some stayed the same. Now staying the same couldve meant they changed but are still peaceful, therefore, the friendly endermen

Now, listen here: You said that the Ancients are Villagers/Humans that were turned into Endermen by the evil corruption of the Ender Dragon. So how can there be good ancients?

If they were turned into Endermen, by the Ender Dragon, an evil creature, after once being human/villager, then they're evil. How can they not be evil.

Ok let me rephrase this. Everyone was turned. Some died, some became evil, and some stayed good. They left dern because the enderdragon aka the eye was coming after them and watching them. They turned but didnt become evil.

 

They were turned into Endermen by the Ender Dragon and his "corruption/darkness, no? The Ender Dragon is evil, so if they were transformed/corrupted by his power, why are they not evil?

If they resisted turning, how are they endermen? Either they resisted the evil somehow and didn't become Endermen, or they were always Endermen and some became violent because who-knows-why
