Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh...I see. So, I'm guessing her caretaker is Rineth, but do you know who these other people are and what they're doing here? I already know 13, Artemis, Aj, and I caught the fire woman's name, which was Abigail."

 

Abigail sighs.

"Well, considering we're going nowhere fast, I might as well take this time to relax a little." She says.

"Lava pool?" I ask.

"Yup, you two want to join me?" Abigail asks, gesturing to Artemis and I.

"I guess it could be rather relaxing. Sure!" Artemis says happily.

Abigial blasts off upward, before two large dragon wings emerge from her back. She glides over a nearby mound, falling just outside of view. I follow after her in the air, whilst Artemis sprints in the same direction.

 

I shout at the trio as loud as I can "I'm with Rineth! I can't fly you know!"

 

"Alright! We'll be back in a bit! Come get us if you need us!" Artemis shouts before disappearing over the mound.

 

I attempt to shout something back, but then I shake my head. "Well, what's the use. I'll probably burn up. Or maybe not" I then start coughing again.

 

Abigail's head pokes up from over the mound.

"What was that!? We didn't quite get it!" She shouts.

 

"Nothing! Just keep at it with your business!"

 

Abigail gives a thumbs up.

"Abigail, get back in the pool you fool!" A voice can be faintly heard.

Abigails head disappears from the mound.


"Do you think Ihra's going to want to join us?" Artemis asks.

"I doubt it, she's scared of fire; I very much doubt she'd want to relax in a pool of lava." I say.

"I did give her that fire resistance though, so we shouldn't rule out the possibility." Abigail adds.

 

"That makes two of us."
I say to Rawb, a bit loud so he can hear me.

 

"Do not worry, I can hear you fine."

OOC: It's Rob not Rawb xD

 

This time, the Drakonshade is dead.
"At least it's dead now."
Hythania is pouring the contents of a green phial into the wyvern's throat. You can see the wounds starting to heal already.
"The wyvern will be fine. He just needs time to heal."
She then runs off towards the ruined keep.

"Idala, it's alright. You haven't tried to kill anything before, so why should you be able to now?"
"It's just... *sniff* that... thing... it wasn't what we thought it was."
"I know. But we didn't have a choice, not right now."

A while later, Hythania and Idala emerge from the keep.

 

Considering Ihra never comes, the possibility is ruled out.

"Did I do something wrong? Master, will they be okay?"
The air temperature rises back to a more normal level.

"I hope this is the only one we have to deal with for a while, if ever."

 

"This is nice; just the three of us." I say.

"Yeah. As harsh as it sounds, I'm glad none of the others are around. It'd be weird anyway." Artemis says.

"I agree, having that old guy in here would be super weird." Abigail says.

"And that Rob guy, I feel like he's hiding something." I say.

"There's definitely something we're not seeing with him." Abigail says.

"Though Rineth seems nice." Artemis says in a kinder tone.

"Good luck getting him into this relatively tiny pool." I say, laughing.

Abigail turns on some calming music in her helmet.

I exhale heavily, "This was a good idea."

 

@Exvhius in case you missed it, Rob was asking a question to Riihs.

"I don't know those other people. I've seen them defend her, but they must be new friends of hers... or something."

You notice slight movement in the distance.
"Just making sure you aren't at each other's throats again." Rineth mutters.
"I'll be back to let you know if we start moving again."

 

"Hey! Privacy, dude!" Abigail shouts.

Piles of clothing, as well as Abigail's armour and some casual clothing are a little distance away from the pool of lava we're bathing in. Only our heads are visible from the pool.

Artemis waves.

 

"I'm not one for formalities."
With a flick of his wing, he's gone.

 

"And I assume Rineth trusts them...even a little?"

 

"What's his deal?" Abigail asks.

"I don't know, you probably shouldn't insult him though. I think he can teleport." I say, looking where Rineth once was.

"Weird how he's the one to show up though, even though I complimented him." Artemis says, smiling.

"I guess we could talk about people as much as we want as long as we don't compliment them then." I say, laughing lightly.

"Oh, that reminds me, have you seen Ihra's egg tooth Abigail? It looks so cute!" Artemis says, turning to Abigail.

"That sounds adorable, I must ask her to show me next time I get the chance." Abigail says.

"I don't think that's a good idea." I warn, "She doesn't like people acknowledging it. It's what lead to the incident." I say.

"You stabbed her over her egg tooth?" Abigail asks, a little shocked.

"It was the events after that caused that, I don't think the egg tooth was too large a part of it." Artemis says calmly.

"It still sounds adorable." Abigail says, smiling.
