OOC: What sphere? I've forgotten XD.

 

"Artemis, please... don't..."
Ihra's eyes flash red, and she loses her balance.
"...aaah... ugh..."

The ball of ice.

 

I catch Ihra BEFORE she falls this time, and shield her from the fight with my body.
I don't say a word the entire transaction.

 

I run over to Artemis, "Artemis, stop!" I shout.

Artemis looks at me, then back at Abigail. She suddenly seems to realise what she's doing.

Artemis throws her scythe to the side, causing Abigail to fall backwards, "Wh...what am I doing?" She says, looking at her scythe.

Artemis turns to Abigail, "Abigail I'm so s-" Abigail scrambles back, petrified, before blasting off with her magma boots.

I sigh, "I'll go after her." I say, shadow wings forming on my back. I chase after Abigail, heading into the clouds.

Artemis puts her hands to her head, "What is wrong with me!?" She says to herself, sadness lacing her words.

 

I set Ihra down gently, and walk over to Artemis.
"It's ok,"
I say, trying to comfort her.
"All of us are a bit insane sometimes."
I smile.

 

Artemis looks at you for a moment, before bursting into tears, "I don't want the voices to come back! I'm not insane!" She says through tears.

 

Ihra runs up to Artemis and hugs her, not sure what to say.

 

Tears stream down Artemis' face, "I...I was going to...kill...one of my best friends..." She chokes.


I fly around the skies, looking for any signs of Abigail. I notice a large patch of charred ground nearby, I glide toward it.

 

"Insane: Not sane; not of sound mind; mentally deranged."
I slowly say to Artemis. It's the definition of the word.
"All animals are insane. Everything can be out of their mind. But it doesn't mean they are forever, and it doesn't mean they always will be. Insanity is simply an innormality. Insane is a word to describe something that people don't like - that people think isn't right. Flower, I can tell you wholeheartedly that you are not insane. Sometimes things just happen. It'll be alright."
I slowly say, with my hand on her.

 

Artemis just keeps crying, ignoring the nickname.

 

Eras' dark beam hits first, causing a large explosion and darkness to spread around the Drakonshade.
The wyvern lands inside the darkness, but a second explosion from within the darkness blasts it the side. It is now heavily wounded, though the cold (OOC: If the cold is still there) seems to be preventing most of the bleeding.
Idala then falls into the darkness, and sounds of fighting can be heard. The occasional flash is seen coming from the cloud of darkness.

 

OOC: The cold is still there.

Xephyr turns back, diving towards the darkness claws-first.
"Is it almost over?" She asks telepathically.

 

Eras doesn't answer that for you.
The darkness clears quickly. The Drakonshade is lying in the middle. It isn't dead, but it almost is. Its wings are destroyed and cuts cover its body.
Idala is standing next to it, halberd pointed towards it.
"I- I can't kill it. Not like this..."
Her halberd turns back into a sickle and she runs towards the North Mining Road Keep ruins, which is fairly nearby.

 

Xephyr rends its chest with her claws and bites down onto its neck (or attempts to, at least).

"Someone has to..."

 

I glide down to the charred area, noticing Abigail sitting in the centre of it.

"Hey." I say, walking over.

Abigail looks up at me, a little scared at first. She takes off her helmet; turning off the music.

"Sorry I flew off like that...I thought she was going to kill me." Abigail says sadly.

I sit next to Abigail, the burnt ground seems to be rather warm.

"Why did she turn on me like that? I know I angered her, but she's never tried to kill me..." She says, tearing up a little.

"Really, I don't know. She's been protective of Ihra, but she's never threatened to kill me after what I did." I say, looking toward the horizon.

Abigail looks at me curiously, "What did you do?" She asks.

"Never tell Ihra this but...well, I stabbed her." I say guiltily.

Abigail is taken aback, "You stabbed her?" She says, shocked.

"It was an accident. We were play fighting and she fell on Shadow Katana," I say, "Yet...Artemis seemed co-operative. She didn't get angry or anything, she just helped Ihra."

"Then...why did she want to kill me? We're best friends, and I make Ihra faint and suddenly she's trying to slice me in half." Abigail says, shaking.

"As I said, I don't know." I reiterate.

Abigail hugs me, burying her face in my shoulder; crying.

"I don't want to die..." She says through tears.

I try my best to console Abigail.


"I'm a terrible person...I've known Abigail for so long and then I turn on her, trying to kill her," Artemis says, trying to stop crying, "I don't even know what came over me. Why would I want to kill Abigail?"

 

Ihra keeps hugging Artemis.
"Didn't you say shadows are like that? Isn't it natural from time to time?"

 

"I'm not a Shadow," She says, failing to stifle her tears, "And I never want to become a Death Guardian. I'm meant to protect life, not remove it."


"Is it alright if we stay here a while..." Abigail asks, "I don't want to go back to a bloodthirsty Death Guardian..."

"It's fine, you can stay here as long as you want. I'm sure Artemis needs some time to cool off."

Abigail rests her head on my shoulder, "Thanks. She's lucky to have you around." Abigail says, looking up at me.

"I'm lucky to have her around. We work well together." I say, looking at the horizon.

 

"W-wait, if you're not a shadow... don't you live with shadows? Aren't guardians... I'm confused."

 

"Guardians are protectors of the Earth; we live in our respective areas." Artemis says, trying to lighten up a little with explanation, "Forest Guardians live in forests, Flame Guardians live in volcanoes, Earthen Guardians live atop mountains, Oceanic Guardians live in oceans and Sky Guardians roam the skies, stopping atop mountains to rest."

"Shadows come from the Realm of Shadows; it's deadly for an outsider to enter without protection." She says, wiping her tears.


Abigail puts on her helmet, turning her music back on. Techno music can be faintly heard from the helmet.

Abigail and I lie on the crispy ground, gazing at the sky.

 

"Maybe I should see if Abigail is okay."
"Ihra, give her time. These are wounds you cannot heal."
She looks shocked, then goes back to hugging you.
