Legendary Drop Help

Hello I'm a lvl 90 Mage and i want to know if i can still farm for Bad Wolfs or Papyrus so do mobs of that Lvl or Loot chests still give me those Items or not ?

If you kill mobs at lower level you should be able to get them. Also, if you loot chests in the presence of low level mobs, the level of the items in the chest should also decrease. I found some level 40 items in a chest near Nesaak as a level 90 class.

 

So if i gring lvl 60 mobs long enough i should be able to get the Drops ?

 

Actually, the further you are from the level of the mob, the more drop chances are decreased.
I'm pretty sure, since there is a similar thing for xp, that the reduction chance per level is 3%
If I remember correctly, Bad Wolf was about level 40?
3 x 50 = 150
This is more than 100.
So, you shouldn't even get a drop.

If you want to get items far away from your level, then make sure the level of the mobs you kill is less than 30 levels away AT THE LEAST. I would recommend actually being near to the level in the first place though.

Still, that is many levels away from level 90. That reduces the chances by a lot. So it's worth it a lot more to get one around the actual level of the item.

 

Then explain why EVERYONE has to start a new class and grind for depressing weapons (for Bob's Tomb)? Hm? I don't remember me getting depressing crud when I was level 45.

 

Because your loot bonus was too high. Apparently loot bonus shifts the loot drops. You get less common and depressing, but more rares and legendary.

 

I was level 45, and i got all 4 depressing items AND bob's tear legit on the same level 45 class...

 

My loot bonus was exactly zero. I had done my research. I farmed like 1.5 hours at my level 45, nothing. Almost an hour at a new class, 6 depressing weapons.

I got Bob's Tear on the level 45 as well, but I just couldn't get the depressing things. How long did it take you?
