A Big, Sarcastic Thank You To Nintendo.

For fucks sake Nintendo, how could you mess this simple thing up?

So alright then, I'm bored as shit lately, so I thought: Let's buy the POKéMON blue rerelease on the 3ds alright, so, I google on how to get some of those point things, and I find out there are 2 ways: Buy points with a credit card (Welp, I don't got access to a credit card, why don't you allow other payment methods for this? Is it that hard? Really?) or I buy a special card with a code. So alright, I find out there are 10$ cards available, and that you can get them delivered via email, so no big effort for me, right? No.

So, In the Netherlands the lowest price card you can get is 15€.
But I want to buy a 10€ game! So alright then, maybe there's a game for 5€ that I'm also interested in, so I did a bit of searching, and found out there is finally the first mario kart game on the 3ds store, great.

Aaaand it costs 7.99. Damnit.

So, the 15€ card Is a big no-go, alright? But in the USA there are 10$ cards! Why not have them in the Netherlands/Europe too? It's not that hard! And I doubt the american cards work for me, and they don't allow me to pay with iDeal (A payment method in the netherlands, It's the only way I've got.).

So there is 1 last option, getting a free code online, which probably gives me 838279 virusses and doesn't give me a (working) code anyway.

Thanks Nintendo, for making buying games on your store a pain in the ass.
(PS: I hate emulating, so I'm not going to do that, so don't tell me to.)

 

if you buy two cards, you'll have $30 (I dont have the euro sign on my keyboard) and you can buy 3 games...

 

But what if, I don't want to buy 3 games, hmm?

What if I'm on a tight budget? What then?

you don't need to get pokemon blue. just wait for the next remake/port/more HDer/remaster of a Nintendo game. they make like 15 every year anyway so its not like there wont be another good classic Nintendo game being milked to death.

EDIT: also if the game is 10 bux then you would still have to pay like a dollar tax for it. you would still have to buy the more expensive card.

 

Spend the extra money on Pokebank or DLC smh
