Does tagging the same people multiple times on the same thread serve any purpose?

 

In an auction environment, it's purely a courtesy, as I have no way to know if participants are watching the auction, or may have forgotten to follow it. It is also the reason why I put "If you do not want to receive further notices for this auction, let me know, and I'll remove you from the list" after the list of names of participants. I'm not trying to be annoying, so, from your question, if any further changes arise, I won't include your name in the list.

 

You have tagged me 4 times in this thread after my bid and I have shown no intentions to continue bidding. But is there really any point to tagging me more than once? Not to mention you tag me once a day. If I had any intentions of continuing, I would have replied after the first tag. Even if I was away I would have logged back on and saw the first tag. Any tags after that are completely redundant.

TL;DR: Yes please, don't tag me anymore :)
