Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"A lot of people have tried. Also, her staff is... extremely powerful and a magnet to power mongers."

 

"Ah, I see. So, what do we do now? Are we just going to wait here or go with your daughter and her...friends to that place that they were going to" I then start coughing.

 

"I'm a Forest Guardian. In short, we're beings born with special powers tasked with protecting parts of our world." Artemis says.

"I have no idea, I don't think he would sl-" Artemis stops as a dark portal opens up nearby, "Oh, here he is." She says happily.

I sprint out of the portal, looking back and laughing. I toss Artemis a green and purple phial before sprinting off. Artemis almost drops the phial, "Where are you going?" She asks.

Another figure dives out of the portal before it closes. She has long, fiery red hair, bright orange eyes and wears red scaled armour, save for her feet and head.

"GET BACK HERE YOU SLEIGHT HANDED FIEND!" She shouts after me.

"You'll have to catch me!" I shout back, blasting off with my Magma Boots.

The red-haired girl chases after me with dual jets of fire erupting from her hands, blasting her toward me.

We both fly high, I seem to keep lead however.

 

"Very well." I look at Aj and the unknown figure, curious at the ongoing fight.

 

A large fireball appears and seems to grow; it's headed toward the ground. Looking carefully, the red-haired girl and I can be seen fighting within it.

Artemis creates a large wooden shield around the party.

 

I look at Artemis, before saying "Miss Artemis, I hope that you do realize that wood does not go well with fire."

 

"I'm using a special kind of wood; one that's a little more resistant to fire than others." She says.

The huge fireball crashes down nearby in a fiery explosion. When the smoke clears, the red-haired girl can be seen scratching my face with two pairs of dark purple claws, three blades on each. I seem to be pinned to the ground, struggling as my face is scratched away at.

 

"Ah I see. Well, if you don't mind, I'd like to break up those two." I walk over to Aj and the unknown woman, and say "Greetings, madam. What seems to be the problem here?"

 

"He stole some very precious boots of mine." She says, claw half-embedded in my face, "I'm simply taking back what belongs to me."

I take the moment of distraction to break free and run towards Artemis, hiding behind her, "Get her!" I say to Artemis.

The red-haired girl looks over to Artemis and I.

 

I look at Aj, and then say "Is this true, Mr. Aj?"

 

"The newcomer raises a good point. Wood and fire don't mix."

I walk over to Aj, and pick him up by the collar.
"Give back the boots," I say, no-nonsense.

I throw Aj towards the red-haired girl, disgusted.
"I'm sure you didn't think for a second about what might happen if you were followed by a fire-user, back here? Here, by Ihra?"

I scoff.
"Your absence of forethought is abhorrent."

 

The cold fog doesn't slow it down much since it was already circling us slowly (on the ground).
The Drakonshade then spreads its wings out and jumps vertically into the air.
Now it is in the air, it is slowed, but it is still quite fast.
A dark, black glow seems to come from it.
The wyvern Hythania was riding leaps into the air after it, though the Drakonshade is faster.
Idala also flies into the air but doesn't follow it. A purple aura glows around her. This time, however, the events from earlier don't seem to be happening.
I also fly into the air a bit higher and I start firing dark scythes at it, which it dodges with ease.

 

OOC: Might wanna wait till @Exvhius gets back.... after all:

 

Artemis puts her hand to her head, "You stole Abigail's boots didn't you?" She says.

I land in front of Abigail, she grins, looking down at me.

"Boots." She says with a commanding tone.

I give Abigail the Magma Boots, crossing my arms after.

Abigail turns to Artemis, "Flower Power?" She says, unsure.

"Hey Dragon Breath!" Artemis replies happily.

Abigail runs over and hugs Artemis, "Artemis! It's so nice to see you!"

"You too! Though I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't kill Aj, since we're...uhh..." Artemis trails off.

"Are you two a couple?" Abigail asks.

Artemis nods.

Abigail gasps, "I'm so happy you finally found someone! Even if he is a bit of a kleptomaniac..." She says, glaring at me.

 

"I KNEW IT!" Ihra yells, sliding off of Rineth.
"I knew I could get you to... uh... who's the new person?"

"Hope you don't mind the cold."
The air continues to get colder. Frost collects on the ground, and ice crystals begin forming as a result.
Xephyr can match pace with the Drakonshade, but it's evident she's not too sure what to do once she catches up.
She forms and throws ice spikes at its wings, hoping to subject it to other attacks.

Rineth eyes you with distrust.
"Are you sure you're all the way here, Sir Robert?"

 

Abigail turns to Ihra, "I'm Abigail." She says, offering a handshake.

"She's a flame guardian." Artemis says.

 

I cough again. "Yes. I'm probably sure I'm here. Probably"

 

Ihra's expression quickly turns to fear and she blinks behind Rineth.
"Why is she here? What did I do to you? Whatever it was, I'm sorry JUST PLEASE DON'T LIGHT ME ON FIRE!"

Rineth seems uneasy with you.
"Riihs was right to be worried about you killing her, it seems."
"It's brief moments... he should be fine."
"Fair point. Still, I'm not letting my guard down."

 

"Oh, I deeply apologize for any trouble I may have caused" I look at Ihra. "Ihra, she won't light you on fire. Its fine. She isn't mad...not mad at you at least."

 

Abigail looks confused, "Why would I want to light you on fire?" She asks, curious.

I teleport over to Artemis and Abigail.
