I Need To Know A Bit More About Attack Speeds.

I really wish to know how many times per second different "attack speeds" can hit, because I am looking to buy
the dagger Weathered, I want to know how many times a very fast attack speed can hit per second so I can
calculate the average melee damage per second with no buffs and with buffs using Weathered, I could also
use it to calculate the damage of items in the future. If possible also tell me how many times you can hit with
other attack speeds, but that isn't required. Thank you for reading this and helping me.

 

Very Fast weapons can hit 2.9 times per second.

There's more to attack speeds than that. Attack speeds effect damage inflicted by spells by a %. And this % is pretty fucking crazy. There seems to be a soft cap after very fast attack speed. I don't recommend pursuing more attack speed after the very fast tier. Oh yeah and try stacking spell damage, melee damage, and attack speed. The effects are crazy

 

Very fast atk speed is normal vanilla speed

 

Normal attack speed gets 70% or 80% spell dmg bonus

Slow attack speed only deals 70% OF the spell dmg and 50%OF the spell dam for the verry slow attack speed

Also, attack speed actually affects life steal and mana steal if I remember correctly.

 

Depending on how many hits per-second a weapon can inflict, it gets a different spell damage modifier...

For instance, Super Slow can deal 0.5 hits in 1 seconds(or thereabouts), so spells get a 0.5x modifier.

Super Fast, however, can deal 4 hits in 1 seconds(approximated) so spells get a 4x modifier...

 

so super fast with +1 is pointless for spell multiplier yes?

 

Correct. Speeds above Super Fast, and below Super Slow, do not exist.
