    Ayy lmao, that was pretty fast. Still sticking to 1.8.9 because, without Optifine, my PC would become a toaster. Hopefully the full 1.9 Wynncraft update will come soon enough. Also, Corkus hype.

    You do realize this is about the server being compatible with 1.9? This post isn't about adding anything from the update as they won't be fully updating to 1.9 for quite a long time

    The server is 1.8 but is 1.9 compatible, therfore all features are from version 1.8 and before.

    actually there is an optifine for 1.9 hidden in the website and also now supports shaders! but the version is unstable(that is what they say)

    Shields would DESTROY CLASSES AS WE KNOW IT. Rebalancing would take a year. Not to mention making skins, coming up with new things, etc. it would be hell. and the only class liable to use shields are warriors, which would be SUPER unfair. Salted above, there are SO MANY ranged attacks out there...

    Fair point. But I was more talking about using shields as an accessory in the off-hand slot, more than an actual, vanilla shield.

    You create more custom models with 1.9 now because swords can now look like they're degrading and you can change the degrading textures to look like different weapons.
