Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Knowing her? I would agree." She laughs a bit.
"Well, are we going exploring, or is it better to keep you away from society?"

 

"I'm actually unsure. You don't have Shadows here, so I don't know how people would react to seeing me." I say, "But seeing more of this world would be nice."

"How are we going to travel?" Artemis asks.

 

"If you're not extremely heavy, I wouldn't mind a few more passengers."

Keep in mind that Rineth is huge compared to Ihra. She can only jump on him if she uses her wings to boost herself... and Rineth's laying on the ground.

 

"I can assure you I'm not heavy." Artemis says, slightly offended.

I help Artemis onto Rineth, carrying her up using my shadow wings to fly.

"Onward!" I say, pointing forward.

 

Rineth ascends, gliding just below the clouds.
"Now, if you can get past the view, you can see most of Brisingr and the Darklands from here. I've been told not to go near the Lost Kingdom. Point and pick."

EDIT: Thirteen and Luphyx have the option of "boarding" Rineth. If they do, they'll just be brought along with the group.

 

"Don't leave me behind!"
I shout as I run back, away from Rineth.
At a very fast speed, I start running in the grou
I proceed to jump up and grab onto Rineth's back, nearly not making the jump, but pulling myself up.

OOC: A little late on the reply, I know, but Death beat me by 30 seconds.

 

"Brisingr sounds nice." I say, pointing in the general direction I think Brisingr is, "Does it have nice towns?"

Artemis grips onto me tightly, her eyes closed, "Why did I do this!" She says, scared.

 

"Because you wanted a mode of transportation."
I say, like it's completely normal to answer someone's question like this.

 

Artemis seems too scared to respond, instead holding on to me.

"She has a fear of heights, though it's overcome through empowerment." I say.

 

"Hm."
I make sure to remember this.

 

OOC: How do you... Nevermind.

He gets you firmly on his back via pushing you with his tail.

"It has a lot of fire. I hate fire!"
"Ihra, you'll be okay."

"Then why did she... Okay, just don't look down. Look at Rineth's scales or something."
"She can always just do what she's doing right now..."
"...Right."

 

I lower my hood, letting the wind catch my long, dark hair.

"Fire doesn't seem like the nicest thing," I say, "Is there anywhere with some kind of civilisation?"

Artemis opens her eyes a little, before quickly closing them and holding me tighter with a whimper.

 

"There is civilization there. The local goddess is nice... but it's a land with fire. Ihra's flammable."

 

"Hmm, I guess it'll do. It'd be nice to meet a goddess who isn't trying to kill me." I say.

I glance down towards the ground, smiling.

I switch Artemis so she's holding on to Ihra, then stand up. "Guess it's time for some air fun." I say, moments before backflipping off Rineth.

Artemis grips onto Ihra tightly, scared.

I freefall for a bit, a dark aura surrounding me momentarily. I eventually fly back up next to Rineth. In addition to my shadow wings, twin jets of fire erupt from the bottom of a pair of hot-red boots; they appear to be boosting me along.

"Breeze feels nice!" I shout, smiling.

 

"Rocket boots?"
I seem amused.

 

"I agree; the skies here are rather calm."
"Can you glide for a bit?"
"Why?"
"This."
Ihra crawls out onto Rineth's wing, with Artemis.
"Can't you fly?"

 

OOC: 13 is in possession of a dagger that I gave him. It is a condensed piece of energy, and weighs about 50% more than his amethyst broadsword (really heavy for a dagger, good thing he's not human). Since some of my magical energy is forged into it (part of it), I can use it as a focusing lens for teleportation or other magical abilities, such as having a slight awareness of 13's mood. I didn't tell him... because most people get creeped out by it. If it breaks.... well you'll see if it happens.

My presence is palpable, you can tell if just the dagger or whole me is there. Light auras are easy to see, as they change the way shadows (not like Aj, normal shadows) and light move.

I teleport onto Rineth mid-flight. This turns out to be a bad idea, as my position changed, not my velocity. So I quickly lose my balance and fall, searching for whatever hold I can get.
"She really d--aaaaAAAAHHHH"

 

I attempt to grab onto Luphyx.
I pull him up, afterwards.

 

Rineth's tail acts faster than gravity can pull you away.
"Thought you were Ihra for a moment. I suppose I'm a bus or something now." He chuckles.

 

"As far as I know, only I have known about it until now. Of course, now that you've attacked the southern wall of my stronghold...PREPARE TO DIE" I then steal one of their abilities and fire my crossbow as fast as possible.
