Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I guess we made a bit of a mess..." I say, looking at my hands.

I smash a dark blue crystal on the ground, and a large sphere of water erupts from it. The blood is removed from Artemis and I's bodies, before the sphere shrinks back into the crystal.

Artemis causes large, sweet smelling brightly coloured flowers to bloom around us, hoping to improve the smell of the area.

"I think I was trained to eat bodies once in the wintertime if food were to ever run low." Artemis says.

 

They are.
They both froze when they noticed the crossbows.
"So..."
"...How hard is this guy gonna push this? I'm already fed up with just you!"
"Being a deity's puppet isn't all that bad. I'm surprised this instinct is still intact. I could've sworn I died back in that other world."
"I had a feeling my predecessor saw you die."

Ihra's condition improves quickly.
"Are... uh... Are you done?"
Her tail is visible in front of Rineth's chest.

 

"Since the both of you are fed up with each other and me, I'll let the both of you go off, do whatever you want, as long as you both promise to stop trying to actively kill each other. It's fine if the both of you run into each other and then start trying to kill each other, but as long as the both of you aren't hunting each other, that's fine with me." I then hold the hilt of my sword.

 

"Wow. You really didn't talk to him for long."
"No, your timing was pretty uncanny."
"Well, which one of us tells him we've been hunting each other's groups for generations?"
"I figure you just did."
"Err... right."

 

"Well I figure that the both of you should promise that you will stop hunting each others' groups down or whatever. All I need is for the both of you to swear that, and you're good to go."

 

"When's the last time we agreed on something?"
"Before our homeworld fell apart."
"Figured. Seems that's about to change."
"Gonna let him make a move first?"
"May as well. We're the guests."
They both turn to you.
"We solemnly swear..."
"...that neither of us will actually do anything stop this war."
"Not like we could if we tried."
"You need to find another host body. Preferably before I kill it, so I can kill you too."
"One step at a time, Lefalya."

 

"Good. You're free to go." I turn around and start walking back to the stronghold. Then I turn around and say "Oh and by the way, tell the war that it can go and screw itself over"

 

They look at each other.
"All due respect?"
"We don't have any for you."
Lefalya blasts a huge hole in the stronghold wall.
"Now, if you want our war to end..."
"...slant it towards one side or the other."
They turn to each other, both charging mass amounts of energy for attacks.

 

I look at them and smile, then yell "GUARDS! FIRE AT WILL! TAKE DOWN THESE FOOLS!" I quickly steal one of their abilities.

 

You steal a barrage of homing energy bolts.

Tirai spins his hammer, deflecting half the arrows at the ground and the other half exactly where they came.
Lefalya hurls a barrage of earthen spikes at him before charging with a broadsword radiating dark energy.
"He still doesn't understand demigods very well..." Lefalya cackles.
"...at the end of the day, he ought to know to some extent."

 

I fire the barrage of homing energy bolts at both of them. "Yet, I do. You know, I'll tell you both an interesting story where I happen to have met a creature from another realm." I draw my sword and brandish it. I then smile.

 

Tirai blocks using his hammer. He makes it look disproportionately light.
Lefalya counters with... more bolts.
"We're listening."
The fight slowly takes to the skies.
"...kinda"

 

"You see, back when I was younger, I was very adventurous. So, naturally, I had walked into No Man's Land, and found this hill, free of any dangers and completely undamaged. Shocked I certainly was. Scared? Hah! Never!" I pull out my crossbow and start firing at the both of them.

 

The arrows are mostly disintegrating mid-flight.
A few are redirected back at you, finding the ground nearby.
"I'd ask what No Man's Land is..."
"...but if you haven't-"
Explosion.
"...noticed..."
"...we're a bit busy. So..."
"...get on with it, whelp!"
"Lefalya, you're making my job progressively easier."
"Stick it."

 

"Well, we are currently in No man's land. Anyways, so as I walked up the hill, the sky grew dark. All of a sudden, lightning struck a rock right in the middle of the hill, and when there was a tearing sound and a man with a scythe made of pure ice came out, boy was I shocked. This was the most exciting thing I had ever seen in my entire life. So, I ran towards the man, and immediately, the man blasted me with magic that almost caused me to fall of the hill. he walked towards me, prepared to smite me with his scythe, when he stopped, causing only a small cut in my forehead. He smiled, and then went back into the portal. He then went back out with a small ice cube. The sky grew darker, and I watched as the clouds started to swirl around him, and lightning struck the ice cube. He let go of it, and it floated into the air. The ice cube exploded into a million pieces, and the man rearranged them using magic, and lo and behold, after a bright light temporarily blinded me, he handed me a sword made of pure ice, completely indestructible. He smiled, and then brought his scythe down at me, and at the last moment, i brought the blade up and blocked it. He smiled once more, and then stepped through the portal. However, before the portal closed and the skies turned normal, I heard a voice say '"I will return once again to this realm when it is ripe enough for destroying.'" During this time I am still firing my crossbow.

 

"We should probably try to find the Drakonshade as soon as possible."
Hythania says, "Do you know where to start?"
"Not really. I CAN sense the dark presence resembling it, but I don't know exactly where it is."
Idala says, "Mother... it's.... happening again..."
"I know dear. Try to stop it as long as possible. Eras, go quickly. You know the dangers of Soul Magic."
"Since last time Idala accidentally created the Swamps of Decay? Yes, I do know. What triggered it?"
"Likely the darkness combined with Idala trying to help Xephyr and using Soul Magic all at once. NOW GO!"
"Xephyr, let's go."
I start flying away.

 

I haven't been getting any replies, I think my last message didn't get accounted for.

 

OOC: Either that or it glitched out again, that sometimes happens. Just ask @Rawb , this happens to him all the time.

 

"Well, I have found a way of transferring amounts of liquid magic into vials, so I can do magic in large bursts of power, even when not near the well."

"Yes, we've finished eating." I say happily.

"Maybe next time we should eat something other than human flesh; perhaps Ihra could choose." Artemis says to me.

"Sounds nice, what do you say, Ihra?" I ask.

A myriad of sweet smells continues to emanate from Artemis' flowers.
