Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Think of it like reverse tech; with technology, you need to make it to be around it. With magic, you need to be around it to make it."
She looks at the ground.
"Well... that didn't make much sense. Still, you're more vulnerable to it the less you're exposed. There, I like that explanation better."

Nyre disintegrates, appearing (far) above you.
"Nice try, but seems like I have the last laugh."
His crossbow is aimed dead at Ihra.

 

Artemis wraps tight vines aroud Ihra's (now lighter coloured) body.

I appear behind Nyre, "Hey baby," I say with a seductive voice, "Why don't you go ahead and drop that strong, powerful bow of yours and spend some quality time with me."

I possess Nyre, and dark spikes erupt from his arms and hands, causing him to drop his crossbow.

 

He absorbs the darkness and fires a bolt from his hand.
"You aren't ready for this..." He cackles.
He forces you out of himself, but continues to siphon your energy.

 

"Baby, don't be so cold!" I say with a hurt, yet seductive tone, "Stop all this silly fighting and spend some special time with me sweetie!"

Artemis forms a thick wooden sheild to protect Ihra and herself, Ihra's vines start to show red.

"You know you want it." I seductively whisper in Nyre's ear.

Artemis seems grossed out at the fake acts of seduction.

 

"So... It is like being a turkey vulture?"

 

"Even the girl thinks you're stupid."
He siphons energy faster.

The shield barely blocks the bolt. It shatters.
"Okay, this freak's worse than you."
He hurls you towards Artemis and Ihra.

"I have no idea what that is. Just... the more you're exposed to it, the less weak you are to it. A lot of people use magic, and you passing out this much with all these side effects will get you killed. I guarantee you your hide would be a hunter's pride, that's a nice shade of blue.
If nothing else, let's get you to the point where crazy stuff stops happening when you fall asleep."

 

"Worst mistake you ever made."
I channel light from all around into Nyre, destroying the dark energy he had absorbed from Aj.
"Ready to raise the stakes, my chancy friend?"

 

"No baby pleaaaaase!" I shout as I'm thrown.

I quickly grow wings and fly back up to Nyre.

"I know your secrets, and your fantasies." I whisper.

I turn into a copy of Nyre, except looking a lot stronger, "Hey there, sexy," I say imitating Nyre's voice, "Why don't you bring that hot bod' of yours over here."

Artemis gags a little, reforming the sheilds; twice as thick as before. She begins to fire trios of arrows toward Nyre, trying to resist the urge to shoot me too.

 

"Heh... raise the stakes? You mean..."
A dark portal opens. A black tendril swats AJ out of the air.
"...this can get MORE fun?" He starts laughing maniacally.
Nyre lets Artemis' arrows melt on the wall of plasma he sends towards her and Ihra.

"I'M STILL NOT ALL-IN YET, BUT NEITHER ARE YOU... WHO'S GOT THE BETTER HAND?!"
Dark creatures manifest physical forms all around you.
As well as a couple familiar golems...

 

"Oh treat me rough!" I say in Nyre's voice as I fall to the ground.

Artemis forms large flowers around herself and Ihra that drag them both underground.

"Playtime's over." I say, returning to normal; and unsheating Shadow Katana.

I run up to the nearest Golem and slice it completely in two, before turning to the dark creatures.

I move so quickly between them it almost looks as if there's multiple versions of myself. I quickly dispatch them one by one; killing the second Golem in the process. Wooden hands erupt from the ground and hold a few in place to help me out. As I slice through the dark creatures, I toy with one for a moment before biting its head off and swallowing it.

I take a moment to look up at Nyre, drawing Shadow Katana across, but not against, my neck.

 

He laughs.
"Sorry, seems that mistress doesn't think you're worth her time. I liked our game... I'll be back for more later."
He vanishes through the portal the tendril was in, closing it on the way out.

 

I re-materialize next to where the portal was, looking amused.
"Looks like he's cutting his losses. Good thing he didn't call my bluff too, my hand was no-trump."
I say, as if to clarify, "I wouldn't have been able to ruff his tricks."

I'm having way too much fun.

 

I sheathe Shadow Katana as Artemis and Ihra bloom from their flowers.

"Well that was certainly...something." Artemis says looking at me.

"What do you mean?" I reply.

"You were...well, trying to seduce him...that's kind of weird..." She says awkwardly.

"Yeah but...I was just trying to confuse him! Get in his mind and distract him! I'm not a homosexual!" I say with a slightly annoyed tone.

"Are you 100% sure about that?" Artemis says, smiling.

"Want me to prove it? Because I'll prove it!" I say.

I suddenly sweep Artemis off her feet and give her a long, loving kiss. She acts surprised at first, but ends up blushing furiously; wrapping her arms around me.

 

OOC: Okay, as a sheepshead player, I thoroughly appreciated that.

You have other problems.
Namely the off-colored fluid you slip on.

Ihra exhales heavily.

 

"Alright." Lazarus readies himself.

 

You're surrounded by various types of magic. You feel extremely sick at first, but eventually, you realize she's increased the power of magic around you and you feel no worse.
(Albeit no better)

 

"Is... Is this... Working?" Lazarus checks on Bowie.

 

Bowie seems to be fine. Aside from the fact he's literally glowing.

"Well, it's progress. You're extremely fast to adapt, I find you interesting."

 

Artemis pushes me away.

"Uh...maybe we should leave the *ahem* loving embraces until a little later...we have other problems to deal with." Artemis says, blushing.

"Oh, uh, of course! Y-Yes, Ihra...is in trouble." I say, embarassed.

Artemis and I stare at each other for a moment before I empower Ihra, sealing her wound again.

"Sorry about that, I had to deal with Nyre." I say to Ihra.

Artemis seems to be sweating a little as she summons vines around Ihra's wound.

 

She doesn't respond.
The wounds on her wings are more difficult to wrap.
