Guide My Guide To Playing As Assassin! (individual Class Guides)

Welcome!
This is a continuation of my past Guide thread

Spoiler: What this is

These individual class threads will be looking into the classes individually, and will be showing video example of the survivability, and will be showing the ways to attack with each class, and all that, along with provide good Armour sets for each class, etc.

These will also Recap information from my other thread, just so that those who want JUST the info on a specific class, can get it in these threads.

If you're reading this, you obviously need some help gettin gud at assassin.

Welp, you came to the right place!


This will be split up into 3 sections:

1. Potential Skill Point Builds
2. Survivability
3. Armour builds and Weapons (Won't be there Right away)


Let's get started!


Potential Skill Point Builds
​

Assassins are usually depicted as ninja-like, and are born killers/mercenaries. Being that they are almost like Ninjas, makes then need to be fast and Agile in the battlefield, they can't just be slow, and move not as fast as a ninja, or else they aren't that good assassins, cause they are spotted easily.

This would leave us to the obvious answer of either:

Dexterity and Agility

Or

Intelligence and Agility builds

Using these builds will make sure that you maintain that speed, and that you can continuously throw out fast attacks, and keep movement while you cannot use your spells. Along with that, they're either Intelligence, or Dexterity, because Intelligence will increase Mana, making it harder to run out of mana, which means, you can Vanish for longer, or spam spells easier. And Dexterity, so that you can do that X2 damage more often than you would before that skill.

Survivability

Please, take a look at this video, this shows me playing as assassin, and it shows me surviving for about 11 minutes, (you don't have to watch it all, just watch a little bit) While watching, read the text after the video (in thread)



Notice how I am continuously moving, but I am not sprinting anywhere, it is done so that I don't run out of mana/hunger very fast. I make sure to lead the enemy into the smoke bomb that I lay down, so that I can continuously do damage as I strafe around them. When playing assassin, it's important to continuously move, and never stop moving while attacking. You're no warrior, which is basically what it used to be. It's very frail, and will be killed very easily, so never let the enemy hit you, keep moving in a circle around them, while continuously attacking them. This will take a while to master, but once you do, it will become very easy to you!

This guide is less for new players, and more for everyone, just so that they can understand how the new assassin works. I'm very glad you found it helpful! Even if you're using another class, this can still be a very useful way to play it on any other class! :)

 

Simple solutions:

Let an archer give you speed 3

Don't use Vanish as a movement spell, but as a escaping danger spell. Unless you're going up mountains. Honestly, if I must, I will make an entire youtube series of me playing wynncraft with only assassin, and show you how stupidly easy it is to avoid these issues lol

 

Ok, so? I get around Wynn and Gavel just fine with out the Vanish spell, I don't see why it's so hard not to use it all the time.

Anyways, this is turning into an argument, let's just end it here, no last laughs, just stop. Please.

 

I understood 0 of that question.

 

Becausethen it can be used as a way to get up higher that lasts longer.

 

surviving 11 minutes in the ice caves is not really good in any way
every other class can survive hours in there at that lvl

 

You missed a total of 18 potential Mythics.

 

I wasn't going to last for a long amount of time, or else I wouldn't have been able to upload thisnin a rasonable time, after recording the video, I tried again, I survived for literally 2 hours, then I got off, and all that.

 

than why did you use that video as evidence? its not serving its purpose

Lol I don't understand why you can never play assassin. Like look, the vanish can definitely last more than 2 seconds, plus vanish is meant to be an escape method, not a travelling method. Also, you need not sprint while invisible. 12 seconds of walking with speed III is enough.

 

Because it's better to have an example, or a video or picture to back it up, so people can see what it looks like in game.

 

How sure are you? My assassin has the most points in agi, and has enough mana regen for infinite spells, around 200 life steal, and can kill people wearing statue with rewind... idk why you are saying that if you invest in agi everything else will suck.

Also, as for the original post, it is mentioned that asassin should always choose agi and dex. This is, very incorrect.

Appealing defense traits:
-2nd highest base def
-less likely that others resist fire damage
-inferno mythic dagger, highest dps assassin weapon
-black (fire/lightning dagger) highest mana steal dagger
-liquefied sun: +1300 hp and deals significant damage per hit

Strength traits:
-grimtrap (best poison mythic)
-access to low level strength req and strength scaling items (all multielement, iron knuckle, olux, etc)

 

Honestly loner, hoke doesn't work here, and it's not his fault the ability isn't always that great! Are you determined to argue when nobody wants to are are you just gonna sit there and make conflict!?

 

sorry i wad just asking if there is any solution for the problem i pointed out, as hoke is the community assassin master as we know
