Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

No response.
Well, except for Bowie who chirps next to your ear.
(Still on your shoulder)

 

I explore the halls.

 

It's as if everything had just been abandoned; like everyone just stopped existing.

 

I call out repeatedly as I exit the building.

 

Absolutely nothing. No animals, no guards.

 

I venture to the food court, while texting on my phone hoping for a response.

 

No coverage.
Food court's empty.
There's complete silence; hearing yourself and Bowie breathe is creepy.

 

Artemis walks over to her tree, and lies down under it.

As she falls asleep, two thorn hands emerge from the ground and guard her. A dark aura emenates from around her in a circle.

Artemis looks peaceful.

 

I fly into the air and start flying north to the Shrouded Peaks.

A while later, when we reach the Shrouded Peaks, we turn slightly to the left. There is a small valley going into the mountains, which ends in a tall cliff.
At the bottom of the cliff is a mining village... but something definitely isn't right.
The village is destroyed.

 

"Wh... why? Is the Drakonshade solely bent on destruction?!"

 

Lazarus pours himself a Rar-C (can you guess my favorite soda?). Just in case, he leaves 100 yen and a note.

 

You notice someone flash into existence only long enough to pick up the money and note.
"Hey, can you hear me?" Vei's voice echoes faintly.

 

"Nope. Can't hear you." Lazarus can get really sarcastic when he's not frightened (aka dreams are wired but noone notices).

 

"So, I dunno how to explain this. You scared yourself. Really badly. So badly, you got stuck in... uh, you're stuck in this... I can't even tell. It's not a dream, else I could see through your eyes. All I can tell you is that I'm rolling you around right now in the real world and you're not responding at all. I'd ask you to die in there, but if it's not a dream... definitely don't do that."

 

"Hmm well.. I suppose there are still many things we all don't know about." I quickly pick up the hatchling, giving it the branch, and putting it down again.

 

"This wasn't the Drakonshade... some of these houses haven't just been crushed; they've been burnt too..."
I look around to a stone bell tower.
While it isn't obvious, since the entire tower has been reduced to rubble and been scattered, there are deep gouges which, if the rubble was put together, would resemble a claw mark. A very large claw mark.
"And that claw mark is far too large. Very few monsters have claws that large. Whatever the monster was, it filled the entire valley is if it were a small ravine."

 

"So... uh... I'm in a self-induced coma or something?" Lazarus tries to create a Rar-C can with his mind, to check how dream-y this is (Lucid dreams let you do that, it's really fun!).

 

OOC: At least you have ones where you can control them. I once realised that I was in a dream... because it was so normal. So I tried to go out or change it, but I couldn't take control.

 

(OOC: That's wierd.)

 

OOC: Not as weird as the one where I got a 30 second preview of my next dream.
